Watching the news last night, I was apalled to see such graphic scenes of a family of elephants killed simply for their tusks. One piece in particular greatly upset Pam was to when they found a baby elephant still alive laying close to it's dead mother. This is nothing less than sheer barbism, and those killers should have the book thrown at them if they are caught. The news went on to say that the butchers were probably already rich from the sale of the ivory.
    I am absolutely disgusted,

I saw it also, was sickening, problem is not enough game wardens not much done to catch the Butchers, you would think the billions sent by us and others in Aid could employ more after all they only pay them Peanuts

for the last few years i have tried to get an answer to a simple question of many animal protection societies ? now if some boffin was to come up with some sort of dye that will make the tusks useless to poachers and the ivory trade never got an answer of any of them other than how much a month i could pay them. i thought the likes of iodine if the ivory is useless then there would be no market no market no slaughter i know one rhino sanctuary was injecting rhino horn with cyanide its harmless to the rhino but the far eastern medicine took a dive for rhino horn. other than that shoot the poachers on site lions have got to eat.jp

Many of the Poachers are armed with AK47 Assault rifles, completely outgunning the Wardens, and would not think twice of killing them.

I was in Hong Kong a couple of years ago, the shops were full of carved Ivory from the elephant tusks.

The Chinese Peoples Republic doesnt care about elephants.

I was watching TV the other night and the RSPCA kept asking for £3.00 a month to feed stray animals , the same organisation spent £500,000 prosecuting three men in Oxfordshire for persecuting one fox , the men pleaded guilty because to go full not guilty distance they would face the RSPCA's legal bills too , The CPS would not prosecute because the case was to fragile to be certain of a win , so I started looking at what the RSPCA os , they put to sleep 50,000 kittens and puppies last year , so if our own Animal protection screw up that well what do we expect from one 5,000 miles away ,

i see that no one has mentioned all the african rebels who have machine gunned lots of wild game? for food. these so called african nations? should never have been given independence they are not intelligent enough to rule themselves. lots of them are infested with aids and still keep banging out babies who are born with aids and we are expected to feed them. any person who has aids should be sterilizedand any offspring also. hope i have not drifted too far off subject.

Do you mean sterilised , they can still pass the disease on , I would go for castration or emasculation , could be done humanely with chemical injections , or alternatively in the case of Somali Pirates with two bricks banged together
