Ham & Eggs
Anyone remember a pub in Antwerp Ham & Eggs it was a Maes Pils pub. It was not far from Antwerp dry docks.
Don't ask me why but it came to me last night for no paticular reason.
The more I thought about it the more I did recall some good times in there.
It was not far from the Antwerp Docks Hotel.
Memories, don't ask me what happened yesyerday but more and more I get flashbacks these days, it come be a smell that triggers a flashback.

Hi John
I only remember Danny's Bar and the lovely girls there , those are the ones who caught a few country boys.

Another one that comes to mind was the Elephant Bar in Antwerp city centre. Trying to think of any bars I can remember in Rotterdam, non spring to mind. Not my favourite port, but I suppose that was really down to fact that Rotterdam was more or less completely flattened during the war so no doubt the character pubs along with some iconic buildings.

Re: Ham & Eggs
Four of us got drunk in Rotterdam then went to the biggest pub I was ever in, it was during the big floods in the 50s where the Dams burst, It was only when a person asked us to move out of their seat that we found out we where in Rotterdam Cathedral.

Re: Ham & Eggs
Worse still in Sweden then a bloody dry country.
Only way to et a beer was to drink the local 'near beer' all of about minus 1% alcohol.
To get a glass of wine you would need to eat in a hotel.
Now things have changed, pubs on every corner.
