Remember Delmonico's and the Navigators Den ended up with a black eye after a big night in there, much to the amusement of the Old Man and the pilot leaving Cape Town early morning.
18#Remember Monties well. The Montgomery Hotel at the Piermont Dock gate the taxi drivers used to switch of their for hire signs as the approached the hotel in the evening , due to the colourful customers emerging from the said Hostelry . It was a great favourite of the Port line Boats judging by the number of ships life belts hanging behind he Bar. One of the gentle ladies who frequented the bar , after a slight altercation with our 4 th engineer ( a typically polite Glaswegian ) challenged him to an arm wrestling competition which she won convincingly . To celebrate her victory she jumped from a standing position straight up on the Bar Top and proceeded to Moon the whole Bar showing her ample derrière . Glad to hear it is still functioning after all these years.

A physical condition where my legs did not belong to my body, my clothes were the wrong size or shape ad my feet took on a life indifferent to the remainder of my body.
