My sixth and final rebuttal to volcanoes warming the oceans: True, Green Lake or Ka war o Pele was destroyed by the volcano Pele. Green Lake was in a crater of the volcano Pele and was the largest of the two fresh water lakes on the Big Island of Hawaii. However it was only O.08 of an hectare in surface area. and max depth of 200ft, an extinct crater and was in the direct flow of errupting Pele. Lake Green is just a wee bit smaller than the Pacific Ocean which is 65 million sq. miles, 165,250, 000 sq klm, avg. depth 4,280 meters, 14,400 ft. and is 30% of the earths surface. not counting the other oceans connecting e.i. the Indian Ocean etc.. As I have repeated before, Volcanos are a natural occurrence which are as much effect as the proverbial passing of body gas in a hurricane.
This is my last response on volcanos and arctic land ice. It's like flogging a dead horse.
Rodney
Rodders, mate the horse lives yet.
Consider the earth, it began life as a ball of gas whirling around in space.
Over millions, if not billions, of years it condensed into what we now know as earth.
It will do what it wants and there will be little man can do about that.
We are captive to all that occurs in outer space, the proximity of other planets to earth, the suns actions in sun spots and solar flares, all of which scientists at time have said effect our weather patterns.
But consider the volcanoes, after billions of years they remain active, continuing to emit their contents into the atmosphere.
This gives fact to the center of the earth still being a live active and very hot center after all this time.
Something is producing all the matter emitted, something is keeping it hot.
Is it possible that at the center of the earth there is still some nuclear fusion taking place?
But if it began as a ball of gas where did the gar originate?
If you recall about ten years or so ago there was an unprecedented volcanic eruption in Iceland, a number of well know scientists at the time concluded that the emissions from the Volcano would put more into the atmosphere than man could in 100 years.
As said previously, contradictions that confuse and bemuse so many.
One point I might add with no deference to your good self, but there are those who will blindly accept all that scientist tell them, and those who will look outside the square for alternative reasons.
Someone, last night in the pub agreed with Rodney.
He is a member here and listening made much sense.

I do not read about it, I go and see it and talk to the Local experts, EVERY YEAR. From the Arctic to the Antarctic and every where in between.
Anyone can stand in the alehouse giving so called professional advice, GET OUT THERE AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.
I have been observing the climate for nearly 70 Years, it was part of my job as a weather observer for the Met Office sending reports in from world wide.
much more accurate than looking over a pint glass in the alehouse.
I am glad we didnt have these people around in 1940, Where is that British Bull Dog Spirit, all I ever hear is defeatism..
Are`nt we all ??
Some possibly, please expand on this.
granted I may be wrong but, always
willing to learn.

Hi Ted.
We have had millions of fish die in our rivers in N.S.W this year, they were scooping them out with front end loaders, it is the result of five years of severe drought, which is intensifying, no rain in the foreseeable future, the reason for the fish deaths is lack of oxygen in the water due to low levels and no flows. The State Government Minister responsible when asked what she intended doing, just shrugged and said nothing at the moment, they have just got elected so she has three years yet. There is water, but the farmers have to buy it from big companies who don't farm, but buy water rights just make money out of it, and right now the farmers are broke and struggling to stay alive.

Regret, missed this post earlier.
Remember, years after seeing this, discovering Alexander Cordell’s Rape of the Fair Country .
