Now Alf are you sure it evaporated or did Den nick it for the tab nabs, he says he has no Rum left. Just dont go lighting up when eating one, might get smoke up the chimeny. But bringing Phillip abaord I am not so sure about, heard he knows a young Paxo lass by the name of Nicen Tite might be related to Les B Ann. Maybe Den could go back to his lemon tree and try and trace her.

Even I wouldn't sink so low as adding that stuff to my tab-nabs.[well maybe in a pinch!]
Only Lemon Tree I was ever able to locate was. Ye Olde Lemon Tree Ale House down the road.
Think I will just pop down and check it out for Nicen and any other "missing' ladies.

    Hi All.
Got fed up of waiting for the mate to knock me off lookout, so Ive left me glass eye up in the crows nest, keeping an eye out so to speak..Hey whats this about old Philip wanting a job?.Or is it old Queenie trying to get a few extra bob, as i understand they ve over spent on their budget. We had better tell her that she pays us and not the other way around. Hey maybe we could get a ROYAL WARRANT , Suppler to the queen. Dont know what we could supply as weve only got Dens house bricks , sorry tabnabs, and those blow up dolls. I cant see her wanting the blow up dolls if we got Philip on board?. Ho i dont know maybe old jug ears might need them.

Maybe a warrant as the Royal Supplier of tab-nabs to the House of Winsor would be the answer to my prayers.
A never ending supply of rum, all paid for from taxes collected from the peasants[you guys]
Could sign Chuck on as my assistant. Queenie would like that as she would at last have found a use for him!
Second thoughts, lets leave him where he is, doing whatever it is he does?
    Den.

Now Den you have us all confused when you speak of queenie, would that be the queenie ashore or the queenie tucked up in Les B Ann's bunk? Have to careful with those royal warants you know, if you get it wrong they then issue another warrant and 'off with his head'. Talking of heads there is no loo paper again, has Vernon been writing long letters home again or using them to write his stores list. Must be letters as we never have that many stores aboard. But maybe he has to write them in triplicate.

Must admit. I did know one by the name of Queenie. Sailed together on the Iberia and Andies.
The one I refured to of course was her 'royalness.'

    Default Reunion

Have been asked by my son if he can slip aboard and have the ship moved up to Sharpness in August so he can get a couple of photos of his 'Old Man' (me). I said i must confer with the Skipper and crew to verify it. He said maybe i could get Den to make some tabnabs for the reunion at the old 'Vindi's' berth. He's offered to buy me a 'Four Bells' if I can swing it. Would be nice to see any of the lads I'm sailing with on 'Virtuality'.
Let my membership lapse but I can always pay at the gate. If all goes well will send photos to you lads who can't make it via this post. Mike

    Smile The bitch is back.

Hi Michell. I am going up to Sharpness next week, got some A/lL owing to me, does your boy need a lift? It will be good to see the place again, this is the first time that I have been back to the Vindi since 1964, and I am looking forward to it, I might even drop in at the Dockers Club, Phill Hughes has given me a few details of people to meet. I am a member of the Independent Vindi Assciation S.E. and we have our meetings in Dover. Well back to the Galley for afternoon tab-nabs. Take care.....Terry

If you are going back to the 'Vindi' then some of Den's tab nabs would be in order, to remind you of your time there. I think that is where he got the recipe from. Maybe you might just find an old jar of the jam we had there, might make them taste a bit better and maybe some 'cocoa' to wash them down as the 4,6,8,12 and 32 bells have all been drunk. But have heard on the grape vine that Taffy and the Welsh wizards have the cauldron going again so who knows they might just produce a special vintage 'Vindi' brew for us. Les B Ann and Queenie just finished their dhobi in the cauldron so it wll have some body to begin with.
