Ship Models
Anybody interested in collecting ready made ship models on a scale of 1 - 1250 have a look at the following web site :- atlas editions.co.uk. They offer models of trains, aircraft, transport etc. However their latest collection is Legendary Ocean Liners starting with the Titanic costing £1.99. I have subscribed to them and will be sent a model every 28 days costing between £10 and £15 per model. You can cancel your subscription any time you wish. Some of the ships coming up are The Queen Mary and Elizabeth, France, United States and Lusitania. I received the Titanic yesterday and have to say the model is excellent both in detail and finishing. I have been collecting models on this scale for some time now and it was the late Tony Wilding who got me interested and gave me valuable advice. To date I have just on 70 models of Passenger Liners and Cargo Liners. I have them displayed in an illuminated glass cabinet which is for my enjoyment.

Re: Ship Models
As an aside, the shipyard model of the Indian Prince, first British ship sunk in WWw1, was recently sold at auction, fetching twice its. estimated price at £9000.

I used to love the builders models , I wonder where they all went when shipping company offices closed

In the case of Union-Castle and Clan Line they can be found in the new Cayzer House in Westminster and can be viewed by appointment.
