Port Victor in the 1950s
i wonder if anyone here has any information on the Port Victor from the early 1950s? i ask because my grandfather served on board her as an engineer officer but i have no idea when ... apart from it would have been between 1950-1960, i think it was around 1951/1953 though!
i have requested his merchant records from the national archives which hopefully will give me some more information. i have included a photo of him on the port victor

Re: Port Victor in the 1950s
Hi again Michelle
I hope that some here may possibly recall him, that would be good!
I see yo have applied for his Papers from the Archives, is this his Seamans Pouch from BT372 ?? I ask as it would be a lot better to get his CRS10 which would have his Service Record in full, that would be better Cheers

Re: Port Victor in the 1950s
His CRS10 should be in the following Series , if applying please do include his Seamans Pouch Link as well, also as much other info as you can. And state that you want only his Records otherwise you can land up with a huge File of things that dont concern him.
Cheers
