    Default Liverpool day spoilt

Well there is always someone to ruin what should have been a day of joy in Liverpool yesterday. Over 1 million people lined a planned route as Liverpool football team travelled through the city. The occassion was to celibrate them winning the Premier League championship . This was 20 times they have been the top flight champions now equal to Man Utd.
As the parade was coming to the end some Bastard drove down Water St and into the crowd injuring 47 people.
4 people ended up under the car 3 adults and a child.
2 are in a serious condition with 27 in hospital.
Police were quick to react as the crowd had surrounded the car , he is lucky the police got to him othwerwise that could have turned into a public execution.
Police very quick to announce the driver was a 53 year old White man from the Liverpool area.
Question will be asked as how the car got onto the road.
Incident happened on Water Street, a street many of us will have been familiar with as a lot of Shipping companies had their offices there. Also the old shipping federation was just down the road a bit on the Starnd and Kingston House /Flying Angel club & Residence.

Hope this guy gets a very long stretch in the local area as in Walton Jail, he had best spend time in Solitary as no doubt there may well be some die hard Liverpool fans in residence there.
Police got the information out quickly so as to aviod a repeat of the riots that too place in Southport last summer when a basket case murdered 3 little girls at a dance case.
So called social media spread like wild fire last year saying that was a terror attack, this would appear not to be the case.

Terrible incident which has put the downers on what should have been a great celebration.
Many news outlets are saying the driver had been in a hooters bar just a bit further up the street so drink may have played a part in the incident.
On a different note I see that Cunard's queen Anne is in the river as part of the 185th? Anniversary of Cunard's formation. What a Bleddy ugly looking job she is, broadside on it looks like a Lego model.

I notice that the police are being praised for declaring early on that the driver was a white man in this tragic event; they said it was to avoid a riot. We are never told the colour or other facts when similar acts occur because it is against the uman-rites-act-mate; just an observation

He has been charged with attempted murder, dangerous driving and driving under the Influence of drugs. The reason the police got the word out about his ethnicity was to stop a bunch of media trolls posting lies on social media like they did last year and we had riots all over the country. So screw human rights, surprised Ivan a very wokeism comment from yourself.
Turns out the car followed an ambulance when the barrier was lifted so it could get to a someone who had had a heart attack.

No doubt the blame game will start soon !!! Thankfully those still in hospital are recovering. Numbers vary as to those this guy hit from 40 to 55. 11 still in hospital.

Not a wokeism (whatever that may be) just as said earlier, just an observation, James

Yes,it was to counter adverse criticism of the Merseyside Police for revealing that the perpetrator of the murder in Southport(also in Merseyside) of those three little girls last year, was a black or ethnic person, seemingly an 'immigrant' therefore in the minds of some British, mainly white people ,which allegedly helped to fuel the ensuing enraged mob rioting the next day in Southport. The Chief Constable of Merseyside Police wanted to prevent similar in this case so revealed the perpetrator was a white British person.
