Hi Bryan
Great pictures, but what a sad sight to see ship that won the Blue Riband left to go rotten with rust, shame on the US.

What I want to know is why they only moved the stern!!
It's a rust bucket Ivan maybe the sharp end fell off:)
Just an observation, has anyone noticed that the bow section is of all welded construction along with the rest of the lower hull, but the three upper strakes of the hull from just for'd of the bridge appear to be clinker built and riveted:0012:
almost ready to become - an artificial reef

Hi Bryan
A ship caught in a storm liker the one that went ashore in Newfoundland the other day is bad enough, but to see a ship deliberately sunk never mind what her age is a sad look.

#25 They got the ships architect to work it out for a price and with great mathematical genius he said the bow would in all liklihood follow the stern of its own accord , thus cutting out the cost of another tug to shift the vessel safely. Plausible ? Will we be better off with AI. ? JS
