Re: Assange
Convicted, and rightly so, of espionage.
Had it not been for a deal between Biden and our 'happy' Pm it may not have been done.

Re: Assange
I would imagine he would be right put out, if it all blows up with China and Russia, and the yanks tell the twat Assange to get on with it and fight em off with his pooter skills. There's an old saying I remember from somewhere "He was right, dead right". I certainly know who I would like on my side in any conflict, and it won't be him.
I'd still like to know exactly what he has achieved through all his skills. Other than messing his own life up of course, along with his family. Maybe they'll erect a statue of him somewhere in Australia.
On the other hand, maybe he was given the chance to redeem himself, by giving the yanks all the info he found out about his own country, and anyone else, but hasn't published yet?

Re: Assange
Probably a condition of his release he keeps his gob shut and doesn’t write a book like Arry.
He’s a poor specimen when can’t face up to rape charges and has to seek sanctuary. Should maybe have chosen a church but maybe the confessional box put him off ! JS
Maybe he was taunted at school and was just trying to get his own back , remember that song “ telly by tit, your tongue shall be split, and all the little doggies in the street shall have a little bit.” ? Usually shouted at the teachers pet. JS

Re: Assange
Thing is, if you're gonna spill the beans about anything, you have to be prepared to face the consequences of your actions. Especially when you take on the likes of the USA.
On the "unbiased BBC" earlier, they showed a US person defending Assange, by saying Assange was a reporter, and freedom of the press was paramount. That was all they showed. If it's true, then Assange will no doubt sue gov.us for a few billion, for being so horrible to him.

Re: Assange
Johnny, Assange from June 14 2012 til April 11 2017 he sought sanctuary in the Ecuador Embassy , how much rent do you think he owes ? Ecuador must have saw the light and revoked his political asylum. Sweden has already closed and reopened his rape case and closed it again in November 2019 . Now that he is foot loose and fancy free, who knows the next move ? Somehow I don’t think the USA would welcome him as a visitor to their shores. Once a hacker always a hacker ? He is not a newsman. He received stolen property which did not belong to him so in fact that’s what he is a receiver of stolen government property which he knowingly accepted and made public without consent so he is also a tealeaf to boot. Would you employ him ? I wouldn’t give him a topaz’s job on an Indian crew ship. With or without a seamans book. Cheers JS.

John.
From n article I read a few years ago it was a stitch up to get him to Sweden, then to the States probably a Dark ops.
One thing I could never get was the Yanks wanting him for treason? he wasn't an American citizen, maybe that is where they C876d it up

Re: Assange
On our radio today a senior USA Army person.
He said the espionage charge was for giving details of Afghan informers and their families to the media.
He also gave details of pregnant persons either married to or coupled with USA service men in Afghanistan.
In both cases he put lives at risk.
There will always be a place for responsible reporting from responsible reporters who tell the truth as it is, not their version which is often the casae.
