Just stop oil at best, they can be claimed to be dodgy. They are neither a charity nor a company yet surely not all their protesters can be volunteering, so where does the money come from to run such an organisation?. Most of it comes from a greeny millionaire who owns forest green football club and who also donates to the labour party.
They are, at present, disrupting London traffic by filling the roads with either slow walking or slow cycling, bringing traffic to a standstill.
I cannot agree with there ideals as I see them holding up banners and wearing clothes made from man made fibres and coloured using products from the petro chemical industry.

Post 97, read that the angle of the earth's tilt is any where between 20 degrees and 24 degrees and this tit increases / decreases over a period of time. Currently the earth's has a tilt of just over 23 degrees.
Vic
Near enough Vic 23.5 degrees , Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer .0r the furthest southerly and northerly declination in the year of the Sun . If the tilt wasn’t there you wouldn’t have climate change to argue about, part of our world would be in continuous darkness and part in continuous daylight , JS ...
107, Only a matter of time surely till some irate driver or whizz kid thinks of something enviromental friendly to lob at them...Would there be any slurry vehicles around in London city centre?:p
There is a man, a Mr Bean, or should we say Rowa n Atkinson.
Before going into comedy, had a choice that or politics but not much difference there.
He is by his account an electronics engineer.
He spoke at great lengths about the EV.
Has had one and a hybrid for my years but now says the honey moon for them is closing.
Stated about the emissions created in manufacturing, mining etc and the advent of Hydrogen.
His advice, hang on to your ICE it will last up to 5 times longer than any EV.
I have a feeling that hydrogen driven vehicles may well be the way forward in the future.
I read recently that architects have stayed that older multi storey car parks wlll not be able to withstand the multiple weight of numerous E. V'S.
Vic
Good shout Vic, never realised how much heavier an EV was over a traditional Petrol car.
I have a Hyundai Kona Petrol 1.0 ltr engine kerb weight is 1297kgs the Hybrid version is 1376 kgs and the full EV Kona is 1740 kgs. That is a few added kgs x 1000 cars in a high rise car park.
I wonder how braking distances stake up as well ? no doubt the brakes are beefed up a bit more , but getting hit with an added weight of 440kg is going to do a lot more damage.
