Re: Channel taxi service
I would imagine any genuine legal migrants will have been sorted when they arrive, plus they'll have access to all our medical facilities. The one's bringing illness to our shores are the illegal ones. Many of them come over in trucks and are never discovered, as with many boat people, they just melt away and join the rest.
Those we see on TV are the ones being rescued, many get in undiscovered.

Re: Channel taxi service
There is a report on the BBC website this morning of an Albanian migrant who was deported back to Albania, mainly because he did not ask for asylum. He filmed a short clip, you can see them all with inner tubes for lifejackets, and he films a French police boat, which he states ,they stayed with them for 3 hrs until they were out of French waters, they then called UK for help, and the Uk boat picked them up. So the system is working well, for the French, they just take our money, British bloody mugs again.

Re: Channel taxi service
From information recently received it would appear most of the current wave of TB originated in parts of central Africa.
But with so many coming to UK from who knows where there will continue to be problems unless some form of stopping the boats and other means is put in place and policed correctly.

Re: Channel taxi service
TB is on the rise all over the world, cases are highest in South East Asia and the West Pacific regions followed by Africa with 25%. Australia was well on the way to eradicating the disease but like the rest of the world numbers are increasing.
A London Assembly report recently revealed that five boroughs in the capital had higher rates of tuberculosis (TB) than parts of Rwanda, Iraq or Eritrea. And last year, TB Alert recorded 6,520 cases of the disease in the UK - of which almost 40 per cent were in London alone.

Re: Channel taxi service
As I stated previously James, London has been called the TB capital of the world for many years. The reason for this is because most illegals head for London, and they are mostly from Africa and Middle eastern countries. I know this because I've seen them getting out of trailers and walking along the A13 by the dozen over the years. Many of them hawking and spitting, merrily on their way. many of the places in East London are turned into Africa, or Asia in every way but the weather.

When on the #36 from Paddington to Dulwich to see my daughter, I pass through seven different countries, so far I haven't had to show my passport.

Re: Channel taxi service
The way Identity theft is going on Des there could be half a dozen Ivan Clohertys on the same flight. Have just received the little Black Book on scams from my bank.and out of the 12 main ones Identity theft is involved in most of them. What the scammer can’t use he passes on to other criminal elements for a price of course. Most of this information is gained from the internet , anything that connects to the internet is vulnerable. I keep phoning the bank manager to see that Cappys 3/9d is safe. My false teeth , hearing aids and glasses keep close to the bed side ,and a police officers cosh under the blankets in case they fancy their chances . Otherwise would set the wife on them with the command Kill old girl ! Cheers JS

Re: Channel taxi service
Ivan, I was born in Dulwich hospital at a time when it was British. But thta morning that German guy dropped a bomb on the railway station, never forgiven him for that.
But walk along Oxford Street in London, unless you knew when getting off the aircraft where you were you could think you were in any of a dozen or more countries.
