I saw a video of containers being shipped in Chian.
Not one person on site, all done automatically, lifters moving by them selves along the various quay side, this is the future of loading etc.

As to the bridge, looking at the structure and span it makes one wonder who thought of it to be built in this manner.
With all the shipping in that area one would have thought a bridge of better style would have been considered.
Collapsing like a pack of cards as it did shows how fragile it was.

It could have been worse John they could have built an Aquaduct in its place then you would have had boats and barges on top of ships. JS

The thing is, they build these things to suit todays ways. The trouble starts when they build other things tomorrow that are different. The fatcats think they're smart, but they're not, they're just richer. Fatcats don't work on bridges, or ships. everything they order, is to make more money, not for my sake or yours. In time, everything in life will be able to be switched on and off at the press of a button, or flick of a switch, including us.
It's called "control".

ha ha John, thats a possibility? reminds me of a conversation with a taxi driver in Abu Dhabi a few years back, en route from the airport into town, passing a big construction site I asked him what they were building, "an underwater bridge" was his answer, took me a few moments to realise he was speaking about a tunnel.

Has the fight been screened Des if so must have missed . Saw them both pre fight and his opponent must have had twice the reach as well as twice the height , what you could say a mismatched pair. Like a jockey fighting a basket ball player. JS

His opponent hit him in the nose with his elbow accidentally on purpose but got away with it, I think he was losing to much blood, anyway Tuzo gracefully accepted his first ever defeat and shook the guys hand.

Height for height his nose would just about be in line with his elbow if both standing upright and hands down at their sides. JS
