London Cenotaph 2023 onwards

I had great support from Ivan and it was very special for me to be at the Cenotaph and to be able to have a wreath laid for the Merchant Navy Rescue Ship Service.

I have never marched in my entire life so it was a challenge ! I am certain that there are plenty of good MN Marchers out there and I hope, as Ivan says, that you will give it serious consideration and accompany the Merchant Navy contingent next year.

The RBL only "allowed" the MN to march from the year 2000 so it's really important that the MN makes its presence felt for many more years to come.

I'm sure you were both very proud, and did a fantastic job for the MN, cheers

I watched the march on TV it was much shorter than a few years ago which is to be expected, I would have loved to have been there, for my Grandfather, Father and Brother. Still many 60 and 70 year olds on site who maybe could make it next year.

Yes James that's the old sod next to Brenda, during the march couldn't see a thing because of that man mountain in the mac marching in front of me, but then again I am but a wee fella, I swear I am never going to get measured again in the doctors, as everytime they do I get shorter

At least some of our MN wreaths were on the top step of the Cenotaph

Ivan, you look disgustingly healthy for one of your vintage.
