Some names were of Fishes,for example RUDDBank,TENCHBank,TROUTBank-and the ROACHBank,a species not found in many US States,so to many Americans ,it seemed to be named after a prolific breeding,eating,quick-scurrying antennaed insect that crunches underfoot ,and allegedly contains as much protein(if eaten) as a prime steak-yes,a cockroach! Eek!
