    Default New container ship design

Maersk have unvieled there new design for container ships they have on order. Apart from being bloody ugly I love the bit where it says they have new designs for navigation lights and lifeboats, both of which I cannot see in the video.

Thank god I'm ashore, quite a few high G-Forces going to be experienced by crew members when she's battling through force 7 and upwards and those with false teeth had better keep them in their pocketins when she starts pounding and flexing in a seaway. Naval Architects first rule of thumb 'stuff the people who have to sail in her make her as uncomfortable as possible'

To produce 50m gallons of ethanol, 150, 000metric tonnes of co2 is produced. Is it a green fuel?

At least they can see where they are going with the bridge effectively on the bows, some i see going out of the Solent appear to be just peeping above the boxes. Must be pretty boring sailing on one of those, kt
