Default What is the name of this ship?

    Hi
Would anyone be able to tell me the name of the ship in the attachment please. I've tried various spellings but nothing shows up on Google. The seaman was discharged from the TS Exmouth in July 1921 and I'm assuming that he then entered service with the ship named in the attachment.
    Many thanks

#1 Look to me like people’s signatures JS
If were ships would be a Ships stamp.

One of Elder Dempster’s Class “B” boats. If you look up That Steamship Company and go through their alphabetical Ships List, you should be able to work it out. I could do it for you but i think you will enjoy doing yourself. Cheers, Keith Adams.

Real close Des, Actually apparently paid off the Elder Dempster, SS “BEREBY” a WWI purpose built cargo vessel of the WAR type. Too late for the War as was completed in 1919 as the “WAR RAVEN” and Government sold her to Elder Dempster Shipping Co. that same year. According to Ships Lists, she was wrecked off the Irish coast in 1941.
Lots of photos of WWI War Class vessels on the Web.
Did they have O.S. Rating in 1921 as that seems to be written. Also added “& Wheel Watcher” ? That is what it looks like to me. Couldn’t resist looking the ship up ! Keith Adams.

Think the last line in the attachment is his salary

Many thanks for this photo, it's lovely to have two photos when not so long ago I didn't even know the name of the ship. It's a great forum.
