Re: Imperial weights and measures
A copper pulled me up the other day, he asked, 'How fast do you think you were going."? I said, " About thirty kilo-pastels and hour." he went back to his car and drove off.

Re: Imperial weights and measures
Go to Ireland then hire a car and become totally confused.
The speedo will be in Metric, the large sign posts, some in Metric, some in imperial still.
The local sign posts all in imperial apart from, where new ones have been fitted.
Beer is sold in half liters not pints in many parts and you may well see prices and weights in both metric and imperial in some shops.

Re: Imperial weights and measures
There I was with a couple of friends from UK.
Out for a short drive.
How far they asked.
About 200 cliks I told them.
What is that they asked
Well 200 k then.
Still confused I told them about 125 miles.
But you said just a short trip.
This is a bloody short trip.
