I was moved when I looked at these, and moved that you honour your lost shipmate today, after 65 years.

I always think of him on December 13, never miss as I always telephone the South African lad who saved me, every year on that date.
nearly 65 years ago. I wrote the full story in the `Voyage of the New Zealand Star` thread,
I made a special trip to South Africa to find his grave in 2001. then ended up on the Esther Rantzen Show on BBC TV talking about it.
