Re: James Logan
Although we will do all we can to assist,
one thought is that you could contact the
Scottish Maritime Museum,
General Enquiries: https://www.scottishmaritimemuseum.org/contact-us
I was thinking back to a few years ago,
I paid a visit to the Irvine Museum as I
was that way to do with the City of Adelaide.
https://www.cityofadelaide.org.au/
I would hope they may assist you,
they helped me quite a bit at the
time.
They would probably know someone
in nearby Ayr otherwise that may
help more ?

Regards,
Keith.

Could this person possibly be re-contacted
for an update / further info ?

Re: James Logan
I have tried so hard to contact her - adverts in newspapers, social media etc - problem is I don't know who she was - she talked in my ear while I was holding a different conversation - odd I know - but by the time my conversation had finished she had gone - very, very, frustrating.

Fingers crossed for a good response.
Meanwhile still searching here.
Possible mention at;
Ayr Post Office General and Trades' Directory for Ayr, Newton, and Wallacetown.
Logan, James, sea captain, 38 Union avenue

Re: James Logan
Unfortunately, the Scottish Maritime Museum couldn't help.
Yes 38 Union Avenue was the family home for many years.
Yes I combed through the Post Office directories but they were sadly lacking in photos! :-)

Re: James Logan
Personally, I do not use pay sites, I have found generally much can be found and hopefully other members
of the team may yet help that have accounts with ancestry, find my past etc.
I finally got a photo of my relatives a few years ago after near 10 years of trying. It was via a distant
relative.
Fingers crossed.
Keith.
PS. RE: Unfortunately, the Scottish Maritime Museum couldn't help.
I had hoped that they may have suggested someone that could.

Possibly, worth contacting family history society's etc in the Ayr area?
North Ayrshire Family History Society Links Page
Just a suggestion, It worked for me a while ago finding distant rellies etc in Oz via the Mooroopna
Family history society.
