Its a pity Gadaffi isn't still alive to come out with what was discussed during the times of his discussions with TB. Was there anyone ever actually accused and found guilty for his murder, or just happened to be a passer by. JS

What did he ask the British people to do? RISE UP. RISE UP ??!! People rose up against the Iraq War and Fox Hunting ban. Did Tony have his eyes shut on those days ?
He is really miffed that we want to leave Europe because he has always had his eye on the Top Job in Europe. PRESIDENT OF THE EUROPEAN UNION.
What a ring that has;- PRESIDENT- CALL-ME-TONY.
We Leavers have completely scuppered that dream, Tony.
Remember that he brought along John Major to persuade Northern Ireland to stay in Europe? Where was John Major at Tony's Press Conference the other day? Conspicuous by his absence~ or did I miss something?
Regards
Brenda
Maybe he is ready for the Lords. I give you Lord Tony of Teflon. Any other ideas ?!!
Concerning being a resident in Spain and paying UK TAX on that front you are wrong you do have to pay tax if you still have assets in the UK, you can elect to pay them either in Spain or the UK, I need to update my profile as I now split my time between the UK & France which also has a bi lateral agreement on tax. Like you Brian I always paid my NHI contributions and MN pension. Not sure if some members of the forum are aware how income tax and UK seafarers rules work today, you do not pay UK income tax if you are out of the country for 180/183 days a year, that rule only applies to seafarers not folk working offshore on rigs etc!
Regarding Bliars TAX, I cannot open a Charity and have my pension paid into it Tax Free, because I am just a Pensioner and do not have the facilities to do so, He with his Millions can do that, so has Brown who takes out of his Charity £12,500 a week, Tax Free, for expenses.
Is there a suggestion here that it is only Labour MP's that would be doing this?? I am sure if we all went digging we would find it is not just these two. Why do Philanthropists like Bill Gates, even Donald Trump and many others, even Prop footballers who donate £/$/€ millions to charities/ do so out of the goodness of their hearts, no tax breaks at all eh!!!!
Lewis I can believe the tax situation. I was paying poll tax out here for three years because I had an empty house in UK which the basket of an estate agent hadn't sold. received a letter to appear in court for non payment of poll tax which the bank had forgotten to pay. Sent wife back to UK changed Estate agent and house was sold within a week after being diddled by fees from that basket, and the payment of poll tax even though never lived in the country. That may of been either government but whoever it was were a bunch of snakes. Any bunch of politicians aren't worth sod all, but that two faced sherbert Bliar takes the biscuit. The Labour party at one time did have morals, he changed all that. Was new labour alright, if he gets back in there will be the biggest con ever seen, and will be a lot of politicians will lose any slight reputation they ever had. JS
If comments/remarks on social media, and letters to the editor of numerous newspapers are to be believed, there will be no chance of him being elected. His crooked crony Lord (peter)Mandleson was on TV this morning extolling Blair's virtues and saying that we had all been duped and should overturn Brexit, of course both these individuals receive large payments from Europe. Why the BBC give this slimy toad Mandleson air time defeats me, he was/is a very corrupt politician who has stated he will use his position in the Lords to try and overturn the Brexit vote and get Article 50 annulled, he was allowed to spout his venom almost uninterrupted, but of course we know which way the BBC sympathies lay, especially Andrew Marr and his ilk
Hi Lewis, This is How it works..............
I have an income of Ten Million Pounds a year , so I have to pay Tax at 40% so that is Four Million pounds Tax. leaving me only Six Million Pounds
I now have a Charity........... "The Kong Charity for Destitute Sailors" So all my earnings are donated to my Charity, and then become TAX FREE.
So now I have to travel the world looking for destitute Sailors. I fly First Class everywhere, To Hawaii, to Tahiti and so on looking for a Destitute Sailor, maybe find Cappy, just to show that my Charity is Kosher.
I have to stay in the most expensive hotels, on expenses , I need a Company car, plus all the running costs, road tax, petrol Servicing depreciation etc all claimed against TAX, of course the very Best and most expensive, to show that my Charity is a good successful one.
My BIG home is now my "Registered Office", So the cost of buying my "Office/home" is also Tax deductible also the running cost of the "OFFICE" is Tax Deductible, such as Heating Lighting, computers, and Office equipment, etc etc.
My wife is now my "Secretary" on a good "Salary". also Tax deductible.
Also I have an Entertainment allowance on my Tax allowances.
The fact that I cannot find any destitute sailors except for one or two old mates, is immaterial, I am trying hard, travelling world wide, BUT ALL my expenses are Tax deductible. There are many other means of claiming as well.
and That Lewis is how it works. Massive Earnings and All Tax Free.
and as a little old age pensioner I bet I pay more Income Tax than Bliar.
Gordon Brown does the same, he takes £12,500 a week out of his Charity for "EXPENSES".
Good Socialist are these two. and a good example how money Corrupts. It may be legal BUT it is wrong to exploit that system which was designed for REAL Charities , such as `Cancer Research UK` or the `Heart Foundation and so on to which I donate by direct debit from my bank and little old age Pension.
`
Hope you enjoyed that explanation of a good Socialist way to avoid paying Taxes on your millions.
Cheers
Brian
Brian Gordon Brown does not have a charity,it is a limited company.
Regards.
Jim.B.
Hi Jim
This is another way to avoid paying Taxes............
The company admits it budgets £550,000-a-year for expenses to meet salaries, accommodation costs and staff expenses. Gordon can be paid as much as $100,000 for a single speech in America to investors at finance conferences. By funnelling his speaker fees through the company he does not have to pay tax on [B]the income, even though it covers the £10,000-a-week expenses for Gordon and Sarah to maintain the jet-set premier lifestyle they were accustomed to when in Downing Street, travelling first class around the world and staying in top five star hotels attended to by flunkies.
Mr Brown personally does not receive a penny from speeches or writings. He has thus no “second income” and does not benefit from “outside earnings”. All the fees from speeches and writings are not paid to him and all the money goes directly to charity or to fund charitable work by himself and his wife,’ a statement said.
Gordon Brown has since leaving Downing Street raised over £3 million to support charitable projects yet has given less than a £1 million to charity. Nearly three-quarters of the money raised has gone on his office and globe-trotting travel expenses that run at over £10,000-a-week – allowing Brown to vainly swan around in Davos like old times. Gordon Brown always insists that he does not profit from the arrangement and that all the income goes either directly to charities or to support other charitable public service projects.
The Office of Gordon and Sarah Brown is not a registered charity, it is a private limited company. Guido’s investigation reveals – by piecing together some 133 declarations made in Gordon Brown’s parliamentary register of interests – a picture of the until now private accounts since the company was set up by Sarah. Brown has declared to parliament that the total amount paid to the company since 2010 is £3,605,197. According to a recent announcement on the company’s website, only £912,702 has so far been given to charity after three years. Leaving over £2 million to be accounted for when according to the latest available records the company had only £160,978 in cash at the bank
Cheers
Brian
I know the Conservative pollies do similar also with the accounts in Panama, But to donate your money to your own company or charity does not sound as bad as placing your money in an off shore account in Panama,
But the outcome is still the same. TAX AVOIDANCE.
Cheers
Brian
#25, I agree with every word you say there Ivan, it is beyond belief that these scumbags are attempting to get back in
the political circus among the other like minded clowns "Clegg and Farron etc will be overjoyed" that Blair the would be Messiah
is attempting a "second coming" aided by his insidious follower Mandelson, they have both shown utter contempt by trying
to fool the public. No doubt the luvvies will be wetting themselves with excitement, last week Lilly Allen was jubilant because
the £ lost value against the euro, yesterday "king luvvie" Patrick Stuart publicly apologised to Europe on behalf of Britain
for the decision to leave the EU, it seems to me that these luvvies get so affected by their own ego's and fantasy parts they
enact, that they are now a community with it's own vision of how the world should be and now they try to impose their ideals
on the rest of us, the problem is they all have a wide and impressionable audience to spout their tripe to. JC
Jim a Limited Company can register as a charity, but has to be seen to be active in that role as well as its primary function role what ever that may be). When I started my own business I had to become a Limited Compay (1980's) to enable me to do business with American Companies who were connected to US Govt, as at that time US Govt would only deal with Alien companies if they were incorporated and not sole traders or partnerships. (US private companies could do what they felt most appropriate for their business )I was offered the opportunity to be a registered charity but I thought the principle was immoral, on reflection now possibly a stupid ideal, but at least I can sleep at night, and still managed to support Lifeboats, Cancer and local hospital
