Just looked at page 12 no worries mate it comes up OK.

there is not a country on earth that at some time has not been invaded or taken over by some other, the UK has been invaded so many times yet I have never heard the word sorry used ever.

We as the current generation cannot be held responsible for what those before us did, and to offer an apology as our stupid PM did is an affront to the current generation.

What has occurred cannot be changed, get over it and move on. But wait, there may be votes in this from the Aborginal community and some of the Greens and civil rights people, OMG who would stoop so low as to do that to get a few votes. Any bloody politician if he thinks it will keep his snout in the trough.

One thing that does disgust me though is the way the Good Friday agreement has been manipulated by the Republican movement in N Ireland. NO WAY should members of the RUC , UDR or the Army be hounded by the courts for possible prosecution for there actions during that dirty war. If The Blair/Brown or any government handed out letters of pardon to achieve a peace agreement, that pardon should be applied to ALL.

Lewis, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, they do not have the manpower to investigate all the killings which took place in N.I. They are investigating service personnel at the moment.

That much detested mobile heap of human faeces (Blair) only pardons offenders such as IRA terrorist John Downey and the likes. As for British squaddies, he only enjoys sending them to their deaths to fight in phoney wars such as Iraq.
The Northern Ireland conflict largely forgotten by both the government and the public claimed over 1200 military lives.
The quote "that those who do not learn from History are doomed to repeat it" is as true today as it ever was. Sectarian violence in Northern Ireland will "forever be". When one thinks about it, the British government started the Sectarian wars when they brought in Protestant William of Orange to depose the House of Stewart monarch King James II.

I know they are and that is disgusting, to be fair to the PSNI they are only following the instruction of HMG Westminster.

Bloody Sunday was a very black day for the Para's they lost control and sadly shot dead 13 innocent protesters. This action ensure that Martin McGuinness had every 18 year old youth lining up to join the IRA for the next 30 years.
The Martin fella to be fair has worked tirelessly to follow and try and bring a lasting peace to N Ireland. I watched a documentary a few months ago about him and his early years. He never said he was involved in violence but he did not deny it either. He said he was in the IRA and did what he thought needed to be done to advance the Republican cause. There was an interview with a Presbyterian minister based in Londonderry, who over the years has become a great friend of Martin McGuinness. He said that since the Good Friday agreement Martin has realised more can be achieved politically by debate and dialogue than by the bullet. I am sure he does not relish meeting his maker anytime soon though.

McGuiness is receiving compassion from deluded SF supporters regarding his illness. McGuiness and his degenerate thugs gave no compassion to the hundreds of men, woman and children they were responsible for torturing and murdering then shooting them in the head and leaving them like excrement on a border road. Lets be under no illusion and realise from a sane perspective he only changed tactics because Lewis, lets be honest, Marty was a brutal killer and ran a dedicated Republican murder squad for many years and the only reason he and his ilk give up was simple, they could no longer protect those they claimed to defend. The brutality of Loyalist terror groups played a huge part in the IRA going from the Armalite to the Ballot box.
The Provisional's had no longer the stomach or the manpower to sustain their terrorist operations. Unionists did bridge the gap and played a huge part in the GFA. It wasn't all down to Republicans as many would have us believe. Many of them conceded on their views in order to have a form of peace although it took some years to achieve the goal. Some would lead us to think that 97 was a golden year but Terrorists still murdered, many more would die and robberies were still being carried out especially by Republicans and that's a fact . McGuinness I believe should be remembered as a terrorist thug, alongside his recent role as peace maker and one who eventually did concede his Republican ideals for the better of all in Northern Ireland. He was present at many key moments in the history of N.I. and did bring foes closer together as did the Unionists politicians in the same manner something I thought would almost never happen. But the glory is not all his there were many who trod the same path. Why any sane person has sympathy for this evil man defies logic. Interviews I've watched confirms his lack of morality and all this whilst living handsomely on the British pound. A deathbed confession listing where the victims lie, giving closure to their loved ones would be redeeming but don't hold your breath

The Irish as far as I have seen are perfectly normal as seafarers, the worse case of dislike I ever saw was on a foreign flag ship for 9 months when there were only 3 white faces on board ( if I am allowed to say that ) the other two were from Eire one Catholic and the other Protestant, there was complete dislike between the two, one was the master and the other the R/O, not being into the religious side I was more outward going to the young R/O, who I had to borrow money from to get home. All the correspondence I got from him in later life was on paper with "Remember Long Kesh" written on. I wont repeat either name especially the Masters as many Irish on here might remember as he had quite a pedigree. The Sparks came over to England and stayed at my house for a week or more. Personally as regards the hatred there I couldn't see what the problem was. The other time was just simmering below the surface where the Ch.Eng and the second were from Northern Ireland and the 3rd. Engineer was from the south, the second engineer had been a B special in N.I. and maybe the chief had as well. They couldn't of got away with anything on this ship as was British flag and too many white faces around. However did not make for a happy ship. Why the Hell any religion should cause so much friction has always amazed me, perhaps that is one of the things that the whole world could do without. JS
