#21, Hi Joe, I just had a look there is one 1958 model in good working order "they say" for £15, good luck with that. JC
PS Teeth marks are ok but could be a set of denture's clamped on the handle by now .

I had a Philips radio which drifted of frequency on shortwave and, when the tuning cord broke, it was difficult to repair.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned crib, most probably one of the most played pastimes at sea.The most I played was on the Salinas, four in the cabin played pairs kept the same pairs for the whole trip. One of the lads had a tape recorder,a couple of beers each, music and cribbage every chance we got.

I can remember one time coming in for pay off, I had so many fags to hide I ended up playing to lose some.

Jim,Played crib for hours , if fact we used to play a game to win, followed by a game to lose, throwing fives in your opposite player etc. In fact when i went to Canada to meet up with an old shipmate after 43 years, the first thing he said to me was , fifteen two, fifteen four and one for his knob, as i had taught him crib while we were at sea, kt
