#13 It was that glaringly obvious Brad. It just goes to show how gullible audiences really are. I never saw no mention in the press about the obvious mistake. Maybe the press did receive letters about it but chose not to print, as they are a law unto themselves or so they think. Remember when advertising first came out on TV and everyone said it would have no effect on sales of certain Items. What a mistaken statement, people are that brainwashed nowadays with the media advertising they go rushing out to buy whether they need it or not. Some past or present VIP paid to advertise which the vendors pay thousands to for a 3 minute appearance and there go the ones eager to buy on their paid for say so. Also not knowing they are themselves paying for the privilige of the advertising. Listen to these pollies who promise the earth and have no intention of doing. The present going on about executions is just as much about brownie points as anything else. Others awaiting the same fate at least one Frenchman you don't hear the garbage coming in every hour by the media, there are more than 2 people on this earth, some are now calling them heroes. When the head of your own state says the people of this country do not agree with what is happening, he takes a helluva a liberty, to be in agreeance one has to be asked. Everything these days is bullsh#t and mirrors, there are very few genuine people in power these days. JS
The most famous person to come out of South Sheilds during the Gallipoli campaign was Simpson, the man with the donkey who carried wounded from the front to the field hospital.
#14... Know what you mean John. People talk about the prison population increasing. Of course it's increasing. Every time a murderer is sentenced to life, instead of being executed, there's another permanent resident - at great cost. I saw a good post recently 'Why test on animals, when there are jails full of pedophiles?'
I have a pet aversion to those people in the likes of Britain, who sit in their nice snug homes preaching the sanctity of life re murderers, drug dealers etc. They don't actually DO much, except use their votes, influence or whatever.
I may have very little, but at least I try to do what I can. Quite a few years ago I caught my brother-in-law bashing his little toddler daughter with his big clenched fist. I got Security to grab him. His comment was "She's my daughter, I can kill her if I like." Quite a common attitude in PNG and some other third world countries. I told him either I make a police report and make sure he goes to jail, or his two young daughters come and live with me. They've been with me ever since, through thick and thin.
My point is that he could quite likely have killed that child. In which case, the likes of the sanctimonious bas****s above would then try to save the mongrel's life. The sanctity of the child's life? Irrelevant, she's already dead. Makes me want to puke. If you feel so inclined, you can visit the kids at:-

Giving my statement to the local police this week on an incident last September where a guy ran into the back of me and attempted to do a runner, but I caught up with him. The police told me he would most likely only get a community order, most of the magistrates are ex defence barristers and often feel sorry for the guy in he dock. He was also wanted for a number of the offences, has no money so will get legal aid and walk out of the courtable to offend again. As a friend of mine, a senior barrister told me there is no connection between law and justice.
The S.E .Qld.Mariners .Since its inception ,have had the benefit of use of Tweed Heads.RS.L's Rooms for Meetings. I was amazed though not surprised. Re.Anzac Day A Local paper,has published an announcement,by the Branch Secretary (who holds a Doctorate in some subject )n a statement Quote;
"We"re doing a Gallipolt landing so there will only be Australian and New Zealand flags"
Personally ,No British flag. "No appearance<Your honor"
Nearby ,Surfers Paradise ,Branch .Will carry a Turkish flag.Further up the Coast. Brisbane Branch ,intends to include a Japanese flag.
At least ,Sydney -siders Held an impressive Ceremony ,at Circular Quay. In remembrance of the Cunard ships ,that sailed from there, with the First A .I.F.
So it appears the whole event is becoming a Shamble.
AS so many of these ,so_called intellectuals .appear to not know if they're on Head or Elbow.
I had not better say too much. Anyone who wants to know however be it the PM of this country or whoever, I am a strong advocate of corporal and capital punishment. It should never have been done away with as far as I am concerned. The arguments that the advocates against came out with re hanging the wrong person was very rare and would more than likely have been someone with a criminal past in any case. These limp wristed persons who are against any form of punishment and can only talk about re-educating these offenders must live in a different world than most. There is literally no punishment as such these days, those countries who do advocate the death penalty for certain crimes to me have a lot higher morals than those that don't. The 2 who killed the soldier in London should have long ago been in an unknown grave. Does one actually think they can be re-educated. JS
#8.... Peter, the casualty figures were as follows. The French figure was very approximate, and all figures are for killed and wounded only, not sick. The first figure is total killed and wounded, the second is the number of those actually killed:-
Australia - 28,130/8,710
Britain - 73,485/21,255
France - 27,000/10,000
N Zealand - 7,453/2,701
Turkey - 251,310/86,690
As can be seen, the total British dead almost equalled the total of the other three allies. Total Turkish deaths exceeded twice the total of all four allies. Incidentally, the main commanders of the Turkish army were German.
