But it is a way of becoming Scotistan and the indigenous will soon become overwhelmed by the birth rate of it's new friends and then the rest of the UK will be in trouble, why are politicians so short sighted, is it a necessary qualification. I don't see Scotland having the necessary home forces available to stop the influx of 'New Scots' because it will surely become a new 'entree port' and one for which they will surely head one way or another.

#79....So what's new Cappy? This from the Berwick Advertiser of September 1846: 'On Saturday week the excise officers made a seizure of 6 bottles of whisky concealed in a gentleman's luggage who came hither by the North British Railway and was proceeding to London.'

    Re Scottish Independence.
Four weeks ago, the NO voters were 22 points ahead of the YES voters.
Yesterday, Sunday 7th Sept 2014, a new Battle of Britain started in ernest as the Yes voters were found to have taken the lead by 2 points. Depending on how long it takes the men and women in the street to figure out how they have been lied to and conned by Alex Salmond, the situation in Scotland between the Yes and NO voters is going to become very nasty indeed. One is going to be reading reports about serious trouble happenings taking place beteen YES and NO voters throughout Scotland in the next couple of weeks. Salmond's "Bullshit Baffles Brains" policies will soon come to an end when people who are in work at the present time e.g. those working at the Nuclear Base at Faslane and all the other small factories whose survival depend on the work it provides become redundant. This on top of their cost of living going up and having to pay for health care and prescriptions which are now free will cause great upset. It also appears to me, Salmond has NO respect whatsoever for all the men, women (and animals) of the forces who fought and died to save "Their Country Great Britain" from power seekers such as himself.

    FOURO.

There was two polls published yesterday, one showing a lead for the Yes and the other had the NO at 48 and the Yes at 52%.
Course the Anti BBC concentrated on the Times poll showing Salmond in the lead.

According to news here in Oz up to 20% of the population have cast a pre poll vote. How many of those will sway the outcome?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

the problem of Scottish independence is similar to the man who threw himself from a 50th floor window. As he passed the other floors he was heard to say"so far so good".

If Mr. Salmond loses by a small margin will he shut up shop and ride away into the sunset?
Now good? ex. PM Brown has promised Scotland more devolution of power to Holyrood in the event of Mr. Salmond losing. Apparently all the main parties agree on this, smacks of Labour being fearful of losing the Scottish vote.
These powers would include some power to set taxation levels, which may lead to Scotland gaining an unfair advantage over England, Wales and N. Ireland when it comes to the likes of council and business taxes.

Hi John, under the devolution act, Scotlands Parliament has the power to raise or lower taxes by 3p in the pound.
