Re: Breaking News
#28... Re the Lecture by the Radical on Sharia Law has been cancelled. Maybe there was a lot of posts like mine on the internet and may have been told by his mullah not to do. It only takes a lot of people to stand up and make noises to get such things stopped. If anyone of us had been preaching inflamatory speeches we would immediately been arrested. Look how long old hook hands in UK preached hatred, should never be allowed to happed in the first place. They think they can do anything and get away with it, is what comes of having a soft and useless government unwilling to upset the minoritys. Anyhow in this incident thank goodness common sense has prevailed, until the next time. JS

Re: Breaking News
[QUOTE=happy daze john in oz; There was many years ago a very large community of them not far from Heathrow, bet they are still there.[/QUOTE]
There is still a large community of them here and in fact the people who were in the container have relations amongst them. They have all applied for asylum and I imagine their claim will be accepted no problem due to the persecution that they claim they suffer in Afghanistan. The police seem to be concentrating their search for the wagon driver who dropped them off would it no be easier to look for the person who paid for the shipment of the container.

Re: Breaking News
That would be the obvious first thing done Jim, I would imagine see who the consignee/receiver were. When you read the media they probably dont understand themselves of the situation they are reporting on, and just write a lot of gumf to fill their alloted space. Probably the police /Immigration/ Port Control are probably squirming the same as anyone who has had any experience reported on by the press. However will be unable to rectify any statements made by them. This is why anyone in any position of office is always careful of what is said to them as know misinformation could and does cause a lot of problems. JS

Re: Breaking News
The driver did'nt arrive in the UK with the box Rob, thats another thing the policeman giving the press briefing described the ship as roll-on-roll-off I thought it was just carrying containers.

Re: Breaking News
Were probably charged more than that before embarking. Will still be walking away with more money than he had before he attempted to smuggle them in. If he doesnt get a gaol sentence, is still good business for some. JS

Re: Breaking News
We will never know how many illegals gain entry in these containers and trucks until EVERY container off loaded from a ship and every truck that comes in via ship/rail or channel tunnel is scanned using the latest x-ray or heat source scanner.
A further 15 illegals have just been discovered in a refrigerated lorry in a service station on one of the motorways. People trafficking must be easier money than drug trafficking and something needs to be done quickly. Years ago it was Indian and Pakistanis being brought in by small boats and landed on the South Coast half drowned and that caused huge outcry but these days no one seems to bother unless it makes for good press or T.V. coverage.
We need to bring all our armed forces back from overseas where they are policing or fighting idiots who live in the dark ages, replace all the U.K. Border Agency Officials with these service men and shut up shop for the duration because after all what is the Army/Navy/Air force there for if not to defend our Country from invaders.

Re: Breaking News
On the news it states a man from Northern Ireland maybe charged (or has been charged) with the murder of the man who died in the container,he was obviously behind their transportation.Finding the illegals once they are here is fruitless, they are home so to speak, the containers need to be fully scanned in the country of origin before they are allowed aboard the ship that is UK bound. There are thousands of containers each week coming from the continent to here so I suppose it is an impossible task to search everyone imagine the backlog that would cause. The final solution would be to deport them without question but that will never happen because of their Human Rights.
