#8... So whos supposed to be chasing them John. Thought Afghanastan was now a Democratic Country. They should by rights be sent back on the same ship different container. Think of all the containers that dont get opened up. Australia as you know had a lot of Afghanis years ago, in fact the country was opened up with their camels and drovers, and made excellent citizens apparently. However that was 3 or 4 generations ago, and dont think the present day ones would come up to the moralistic standards of their forefathers. We come back once again to economic refugees. The UK by what we read in the scandal sheets sounds very depressing and what I see when back at times does not resemble the country I left such a short time ago Cheers JS
As I wrote sometime ago on this site politicians of all persuasions are doing nothing about the problem just uttering platitudes to appease the population. You can not blame economic migrants for coming here just the politicians for allowing it .
As none of these 32 people found in the container speak English how do they expect to get a job and support themselves ???

they could join the Afghan community over 40,000 live in Houndslow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghans...United_Kingdom , I would have asked as they came in from Belgium , why can they not be returned there , so they can claim aylum
Jim, Believe Brian now speaks fluent Afghani. Will probably be getting approaced as an interpreter any day now. Cheers JS
They say they left Afghanistan because they are persecuted for being Sikhs, would they not be more at home in India with a large Sikh population there.

Can remember years ago when wearing a crash helmet on a motor cycle was made compulsory, the sikhs didnt have to as claimed wearing a turban was part of their culture. Must have been about the start of the rot, depending on what religion you were, depended on what laws one decided to abide by. The only one who obeys the law now is apparently the poor old born and bred citizen from the pre war era. With all the different cultures in the UK should imagine by now or very soon they will all have their own laws and are not accountable to anyone but their own. JS
I agree that was the start of the rot , the country gave an inch that has turned into a mile , why no body tested it by an impact test on a turban wearing Sikh I do not know , they might have done a test by dropping a turban 2 metres onto an anvil whilst sitting on a headform as per helmets , I don't think they were ever tested
