Good morning Jacyn. Here are some memorabilia that might be of interest and also to some of the older Cunarders, from the time I immigrated to Canada.
The QE was a great trip and the people on my table were great. Here is a postcard mailed from the Queen Mary to me in Toronto in August 1953.
Continue to have a ball and hi to your Mum.

I do believe you're right, John. Tried my first martini the other night - better to stick with the G&T.

Brian, the Master is Kevin Oprey. Haven't met him yet but perhaps tomorrow. (And no, that's not me on the left...)

Thanks for the memorabilia, Richard. Very interesting. My dad was on Queen Mary in '52 and '54.

I am ashamed to have to admit that I lost my sea legs yesterday and had to visit the purser's office for some little pills. Not a good showing for the girl of a seafaring family!! Yesterday was rather unpleasant and it was just announced that we had gale force winds last night, so I suppose I'm somewhat vindicated. In any event, it's much nicer today and the fog has lifted, or we've sailed out of it, and I'm feeling much better. Passed a car carrier in the distance, which was rather exciting.

Heading back on deck now. Thanks all for the posts. Will keep you updated.

    Cheers!
