Re: Liverpool weekend
Trinity house is responsible for the operation of lighthouses and other forms of aids to navigation, including satellite and gps. there are very few manned lighthouses around our coasts now. also they operate a MN scholarship scheme training up deck engine and electricians, so that's probably why they are representing the Merchant Service this weekend.

Re: Liverpool weekend
Very nice Jim, always something going on in your neck of the woods. Just looking at those guys posing in uniforms makes me think 'does no one clean their shoes these days' shoes like that would have earned us (the whole class, even if there had been only one miscreant) half an hours extra marching at Trinity House Navigation School
