    I remember in my younger days drinking larger and lime in pubs in the uk. also i heard that some of our local hard drinking valley boys, say the lime slice in the neck of a bottle of corona is to kill the rust from the bottle cap

    It's actually part of Mexico, like California used to be, having visited a lot of places in Mexico, I think it could be it's own country.

    yes john, a good pulled pint with a dash of lime cordial. drank a lot of that before graduating to bitter.

    In days of yore, Lime juice was in a large jug served at dinner daily as a refreshment. I was encouraged to drink as much as possible to prevent scurvy. ( I was 17).
    What I didn't know was that it took the "lead out of my pencil" and as a result when arriving in Durban, found I was lacking in performance with the local ladies. Never used it much afterwards.
