Hi Jim-you're certainly having a bad do at the moment. I know what you mean about the rib thing- i cracked a couple years ago and you really don't need to have a cough as well. I think we all on here hope you're back on solids soon and that includes The Smiths.

jim when I was last in every 6 hours they had to test my blood they leave it so that something settles in the test after two days I was black and blue still not heard anything from them i'm thinking no news is good news I came home and the heart fella rang my home and told me I was either in or about to have another heart attack and he was spot on I had the second one right outside the a+e at Aintree a couple more minutes and I would have been on the site as crossed the bar it was that close I don't remember much I was out of it at the time they put my family in a private room it was the same room we spent on Christmas night when my sister in law Brenda passed. but still for some reason I keep going and intend to do so for a bit yet??:pjp

Thanks for that John,I've had a good go at the nosebag today.Yes I realise you are well looked after by your family and you certainly looked fit at our meet up in the Pen & Wig,fit enough I thought for a trip down the stairs to the basement.

Sorry to hear that you have not been too well these past few days Jim, if you are not upto eating solid food get the Boss to make some home made soup or a nice casserole and then puree the contents. Whether it is prueed or not the calory content and nutrition value is the same.Take care buddy.

Thanks John,the only thing i can think of is when this happened about three years ago i had just been diagnosed with a Hiatus Hernia and was given some tablets to take by the hospital after about two days of taking them I woke up in a right state,I thought i was a gonner I just did'nt know what was happening.Thats when my wife rang the NHS Direct they sent an ambulance and i was rushed in and kept in for four days.Apart from blood tests every 6 hours I was'nt given any medication,I was at the hostpital last week stomach problems assessed for camera,given tablets to take and exactly the same thing happened as three years ago.Because of the previous experience i knew how to handle it and as I did'nt recieve treatment last time I just rested at home this time,and no more of the tablets that they prescribed me.It's just like being on the end of the flu.Thanks for your kind words anyway John.

Jim, like you I too have a Hiatus Hernia and at times think I am having a heart attack. It is just the build up of acid my GP tells me and I take 'Nexium' for prevent the reflux that can come with it. I find that by taking the tablets the incidents of the 'attack' is down to a couple of times ayear.Quote:
