Well that answers my question, it was something we said
I for one would like to apologise to Brian if we upset or offended him in any way. However I do stand by the fact that one of the ethics of this site is that we are all equal whether Master, Deck Officer, Engineering Officer, Steward, Bosun, Deck Boy or any other rank who went or goes to sea. It is that fact that makes this site so successful and binds us together as a community. To instigate any type of competition to prove any one of us is any better or worse than any other would be a retrograde step. This is my personal opinion which I am sure will be echoed by other members. Thank you Brian for taking note of the membership's feelings on this matter, although I do fully appreciate that it is your site to do with as you feel fit.
Sincerely

Brian
I can only echo Tony's above and I apologise as the instigator of this post if I upset you with this post. New things have to be tried and it is your site and boy did it keep us busy
Regards Ivan
