Warning.
For the upcoming Holiday period,
When you drink Vodka over ice it can give you kidney failure.
When you drink Rum over ice it can give you liver failure.
When you drink Whisky over ice it can give you Heart problems .
When you drink Gin over ice it can give you Brain problems .
Apparently Ice is really bad for you;
Warn all your friends !!!

Did you know a majority of Archeologists are women, due to their natural ability to dig up the past.

Re: Warning.
Of course it may depend on where the ice comes from. Russian ice could be very bad for you
As to the females digging up, pity they could not start on the garden if they wish to dig, my spuds ate just about ready to lift.

Re: Warning.
#2 . John I sailed with an ex matelot who had started life in the navy as a stoker on submarines during the war , and advanced to commissioned rank and was chief engineer with me on a bulkier in 1969. When ashore with him in Japan he thought he was in paradise and used to open up a bit on the war years . He was a devil for his gin and tonics but no ice. When questioned about the ice he told me he spent a lot of time on the Malta convoys and due to the ice in his G & T being made from dirty water he very nearly died. Malta apparently was very short of fresh water or clean water at the time. JS

Re: Warning.
Tip for spirit drinkers. If you like your Gin , Whisky etc cold keep the bottle in the freezer and obviously your mixer in the Fridge.
Who remembers going into a bar in the USA and they even kept the Glasses in the freezer.
No doubt the above is like telling your granny how to suck eggs(is that the right saying) ?

Re: Warning.
James, her in Oz all bars keep the glasses in a cooler, who wants warm beer?
Some years back we had some friends over from Uk.
It was s tinker of a day, about 41 degrees and we had been in the bush driving, dust all over.
Into a bar for some amber nectar and he said to the barman, I do not like cold beer, do you have any warm ones.
All the barman said was
'Not another bloody pom'.

Re: Warning.
Had the opposite John, a yank on holiday in the UK, went into a pub order a pint, reached over for the iice bucket and topped the glass up with ice cubes.
Bar man threw a hissy fit and threatened to bar him.

should have told him to take his cold one outside or five minutes, then it would be warm, but it would taste crap.
Every beer has a correct drinking temp. outside of which the flavour cannot be appreciated. Traditional British beers were developed in an age when there was no refrigeration, they were refreshing despite the lack of refrigeration.
In my opinion VB was the most palatable Aus beer without being massively chilled (ships bar fridges were never any good), although some enlightened Chief Stewards would keep a buffer stock in the veg. room..

Too true, nothing worse than ice cold beer, proper beer that is. All that lager type stuff is not included as ale.
