John the test they carry out is to see if there are any traces of covid not just temperature, I have a gadget that takes your temperature and she is fine and does not seem to have any symptons of covid, today have received through the post another test kit which has to be sent to lab to be tested and will receive a reply to say whether pos or neg within 72hrs by email or text. so will have to wait and see. Lewis, here in Victoria we are still getting about 1100 cases a day, but hospital numbers including those in ICU are falling fast.
NSW is doing about 250 a day.
But here is one for you.
Good friend of my niece in London, a lady of just 64 but with very bad diabetes was taken into hospital in an effort to reduce some swelling caused by fluid retention.
She was told you can go home in the morning.
But that night she was taken bad, had while in the hospital contracted Covid.
Within two days she was dead.
It was not the virus that did her directly, rather the fact that the fluid situation was so bad the virus was able to take over her lungs to the point that for her last day she could not speak.
This lady had been double jabbed before hospitalization.
But it goes to show that even if vaccinated there is still danger if you have serious underlying health issues.
Sincerely hope you are wrong Lewis, my wife is in hospital for knee replacement tomorrow morning at 0800, yes, thats right Sunday morning, obviously the hospitals trying to catch up on all the ops,
Keith im sure your wife will be ok mate ......my mate works in a hospital and was telling me of the actions taken to stop covid spreading .....forget the ....WE ARE DOOMED CAPTAIN MAINWARING.....it appears to be a certain persons trait .....perhaps the song ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE......may make his passage easier....regards cappy
My experience with our hospital Cappy, is they are very good, they have security at the door, no visitors, no entry for patients until just before your appointed time. The problem as i see it , is its the outside of hospitals that is the cause of the problem, ie people not being sensible, masks, hand gell, mixing with others etc. The hard work comes when she comes home, cos its me cooking , washing etc, dusting, jesus i,m knackered just thinking of it, lol
To facilitate her quickness of recovery Keith , try and employ a young good looking au pair for a couple of days. JS
Don't think i could handle it John, probably blow a gasket, still they cannot lock us up for what we are thinking !!!, kt
