When I went to the Hospital in Honolulu in February 2013, the very first question they asked me, before asking for my symptoms, was . "Do you have Insurance for this".
Fortunate I did, Cost $65,000 for two operations.
So that was easy, Why cant they do the same here, Simple,.

caesarean operation as it was life threatening to the unborn babies, so that must also be a part of the rules, as you
say Brian insurance would be a step in the right direction, for everyone's sake they need to tighten the rules or we
will all pay as the service deteriorates, another example was the courts have forced the NHS to supply and fund a
drug called Truvada that prevents aids and hiv infection, personally I think, being a preventive drug it is a free pass
for perves, the court ordered that the NHS should fund th cost up to £20 million, as the NHS hasn't got the money
it will come at the expense of drugs for other treatments including breast cancer in women. In my opinion the NHS
is up against it with rules and red tape etc, it needs new rules made and passed into law, only then we may see the
benefits of the £millions that the Government pay into the NHS. Thats just my take on it. JC
john if we pulled the plug on giving away tax payers money to richer countries than ours we could have no homeless food banks houses for everyone why is there a housing shortage thousands of builders on the dole and yet there is a housing shortage it doesn't make any sense to me now we are going from the eu if we need something then make it here are we that thick to many would sooner sit on their ar.es doing nothing being stuck in a house all day is making me stir crazy so how the young ones are doing is beyond me all my family are working for a living one works till 9pm to get enough for a deposit for his own house yet every month tax is taken and some will end up in the pockets of strangers that don't give a toss about us or our way of life as long as the dosh still comes? jp
Agree John, there is so many ways we could save money that would add up to billions of £'s and the signs are that this
government might just be starting to do it as Theresa May is showing a lot more guts than Cameron ever did, as far as
the EU is concerned, I think we have some interesting times ahead, and I think as the time gets nearer "the EU will blink
first". When you said about making our own stuff it reminded me of a cargo we took to Auckland in the 50s, it was sections
of the Auckland Harbour bridge it was painted in an orange colour with the part numbers stencilled on in white paint for the
assembling of the bridge, I never did see the finished job, it would be great to see us become a proper manufacturing nation

It is time that any one who travels to any other country is made to have insurance. Here in Oz you can travel without it though you may well be inviting trouble if you get sick in some countries. Thankfully I get all the cover I require with my credit card by paying $119 per year all I have to do is notify the bank of my travel plans and we get full cover. Had to claim twice and know the system works well.
USA has the right answer to nationality, if you want to become a USA citizen you must give up your current nationality. Murdoch of Oz newspapers became a USA citizen and had to give up his Oz citizenship.
As to drugs, we have the PB system, that is some drugs are subsidized by the gov, and for seniors it means it will only cost $5.30 per item. But once you have had 50 in any one year the rest are free.
One of the problems with UK is the number of illegals and others being a drain on all systems, not just the NHS. It is obvious that with so many from North Africa and other countries taking jobs off the Polish in UK that there are problems.
well I went to see my consultant yesterday best clinic ever all cancer moved to broad green hospital in and out in 1 hour that's with an xray chest is fine all clear that's 2 years after the opp so a good day still short of breath a bit but damage was done in the critical care but I can live with that.. jp
