Glad you like it Jame. Just one point about it though. When making damper it usually comes out looking like a giant bun not so flat. It can then be either sliced or pulled apart whichever you prefer. When cooked in a fire the dough is put in a pot and then inserted into a fire with the ashes and fire piled on top of the pot. Or if out in the bush just put into the fire without a pot and enjoy the taste of the burnt bits lol. But suppose just in a pot then put in the oven is suffice
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Cheers Les, that was likely me pressed it down to much, but still enjoyed it tastes good. Think I will try toasting it tomorrow and spread butter and honey on it.

We BBQ sausages here in Oz.
All the supermarkets sell them and Saturday morning Bunnings will have a sausage in a slice, hot off the grill, to raise funds.
Many local organizations take it in turns to run the BBQ at Bunnings,

But beware, never let them get cold and think you can eat them later, they will snap just like a twig.

Have heard there is 'some' meat in them, just a question of finding out where!!
    Happy daze John in Oz.

I bet Vic will know what these are, a Scottish thing,Scottish sausage.jpg

Makes sense to me as easier to handle in a frying pan, normal sausages tend to be a bugger and roll over when you are trying to get an even cook. I never grill sausages dries them out.
Hard to beat a good sausage done right on a BBQ, During the summer I BBQ Bratwurst German sausages makes a change in a hot dog, Aldi do them.

    :
No need to take the dancing shoes out James, they are always ready and go out every Saturday night. TEA DANCES those are for old folk James, not my style. Last Saturday had two American Smooths with my lady, two Rock n Rolls with somebody else's lady and a Cuban Rumba with a 28 year old Pole Dancer (as she told me) all of them decades younger than me. I may not go to heaven, but be-jeezez I'm making the best of it down here, and I know I'm at least a decade older than you, so if you need any lessons watch my video .

Yes I also enjoy cooking (nearly every day)and make the occasional tabnab (very occasional)
