Cappy keep the chariot going as long as possible , just to get back what you have paid in tax etc. I get periodic letters to check if I am still alive , keep telling them I cant tell them when I'm not, but have made arrangements for them to be told when I"m not , if they dont hear from me in answer to these letters it doesnt mean I"m not around any more, just that I am otherwise engaged in more fruitful pursuits. All this talk about lockdowns and keeping your distance and people going off their heads, leaves me wondering. But to be honest although the other States in Australia have had their woes , here in WA it has not been noticeable , apart from the fact the wife keeps me at a distance. This to some might be a Godsend , but I am still old enough to appreciate my home comforts , she however doesnt seem to mind , which starts me thinking maybe she has been reading some of the letters on this site. turned out to be a sensor, touch wood all OK now, apart from my
pocket. A £15 part ended up costing a fortune in the end.

As to cars, here in Oz the feral gov had six Hyundai Hydrogen cars on trial, there is one pump available for them.

In London a Hydrogen train has been developed and now I see a Hydrogen bus.

It is the way of the future, electric is just a stop gap until the Hydrogen ones are further developed.
Will be interesting to see how many charging points the gov allows along the freeways in UK.

Well, i knew as soon as i opened by big mouth (post 16), my poor old subaru failed the MOT, needed £1000 of work, so no go, so now the proud owner of a second hand Lexus ct200 h, so should be my last car, as at 80 years young, can't see me driving at 90 if still here, kt

The Lexus is i hear a good Car but i think a bit over rated , but it has a luxury in it known here as the Mercedes Benz of Japan.

Hope she goes well and that it lasts, at our age like you ( I too am 80 ) we should not be looking ay too many cars now LOL

Had four Subarus, 2 Forester turbos, Outlander, Impreza turbo, had to get rid of the last one as my wife thought every speed limit was a minimum, quite noisy on the outside with its horizontal piston burble, but inside so quiet, but it was only when you thought why is everything going so slow, that you realised you had reached warp speed. Friend of mine aged 90 bought himself a new 4wd Audi Q3, so don't give up yet lads.

Second hand cars here in Oz have all gone up in value, the virus sees less willing to use public transport.

Mine was also the Subaru outback, after 19 years it will be different to drive a different class of car, but 3 litre auto petrol outback driving round this little island was a bit thirsty, so at least will be cheaper to run, kt
