Re: UK police in trouble again
Then of course they could have Roast Pork on Friday but then some RC from the PC brigade would say that is unfair to the Catholics and Jewish community.
Is there a Hindu policeman in that lot?
Well he may not have the sausages as Hindus do not eat Beef.
Re: UK police in trouble again

A sausage. Vernon’s probably in bed now. Probably dreaming of his next BBQ. Cheers JWS.
Re: UK police in trouble again
Last time I heard that word snags for sausages was it an old black and white War Time movie might have been the Cruel Sea
Re: UK police in trouble again
You would hear it everyday out here Rob. Maybe you tripped over one yesterday when you fell, or were you trying to pick one up. Cheers JWS.
Re: UK police in trouble again
Hi Rob.
Out here it's sometimes it's hard for British tourists to comprehend the language, just like snags, Cobber, Back of Burke, the Pickup {small Truck] On the way to Canberra there is one of many funny sounding road names, Bumalong Rd, on the highway there are 16 letter boxes so I assume there are 16 properties but as far as the eye can see there are no houses. On the way from Broken Hill to Willcania in the outback, on the map is a place called Tank; and that is what it is, a water tank. And I can say that out there there is no place for PC.
Cheers Des

Don't know if Western Aust. saying but another is Whoop whoops land. Meaning you live out in the country. JS..
Re: UK police in trouble again
John, whoop, whoop land is about two miles past the black stump, and as we all know the black stump is in the out back, and the out back as well know is out back just at the back of Burke, and the back of Burke is where whoop, whoop land is.
As to snags, those in UK should be getting used to them now as Bunnings, who took over the home wear stores have a sausage sizzle each Saturday morning outside the stores.
But snags now come in may styles, chook snags, roo snags, even croc snags now in some parts.
They go well with a cold tinnie or a pot of amber, out on the veranda where the flies are as thick as, and as welcome as ants at a barby.

Re: UK police in trouble again
#38... we have a sausage sizzle outside Bunnings in Rockingham next month and do so every year. Bunnings are very good and loan us the awning etc. and the loan of part of the car park. We usually raise about 2000 dollars for charity for the day. Rather a long way to come for some, but anyone passing through who want to sample our snags for a good cause are welcome. Cheers JWS.
