Top gun
If you wanted to become a barrister, a medical specialist, stock broker etc. It would require years of study and first class honours university degree.
If you wanted the most important job in the world all you would need is a couple of billion dollars, red tie, personal hairdresser and a trophy wife.

Re: Top gun
Following is one of the most prophetic looks into the future or all times IMHO:
"As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their hearts desire at last, and the White House will be occupied by a downright fool and a complete narcissistic moron."

Re: Top gun
But who is the fool? The public vote, then the public complain.
It has been said we get the gov we deserve and rightly so.
But we elect them to work for us, but somewhere along the way it all goes belly up and we end up as their slaves.

you didn't specify what qualifications are required to be a MP in the UK.It would appear that it is required that you have never had a proper job
