Re: Diabolical
Just watched the program on Panorama Marion, what a bad.... Son he is, apparently the poor old fella is back in USA in a care home, and not very well looked after, he had been well cared for here in UK, the staff had adopted him. I am amazed in the program that the son was not arrested. No doubt about it the American system is different to ours. His wife is still alive, but also in a bad way, kt

Re: Diabolical
Hi Marian.
Strange things happen to elderly people. An old man suffering mild dementia came to Melbourne I think to visit
his family. He went missing the police looked for him for five days, then one day a couple went into a stairwell I think it was a fire escape in a big shopping center and found a body there, it was the old man he must have wandered in and for some reason couldn't get out and just laid down and died. Now police want to know how come no one from the shopping center ever checked that stair well, not for the old man but for safety reasons.
Cheers Des

Re: Diabolical
We had a case here on Monday where a 3 year old was found wandering the street at 9 at night. The following morning at 7 the mother arrieved at the local police station to say he was missing.
What sort of mother goes to bed without first checking if a 3 year old is safe in bed?
The young lad was OK after his ordeal.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Diabolical
now people it may seem I am the bad guy here but this man should be taken back to the states why!!! there are many people with cancer that is refused life saving treatment because of cost here. the publicity of the person when the is repatriated back to America he would be well sorted out. I am not being hard hearted but its just the facts anyone from any country trying to defraud the nhs should be billed the same as we would in their country? in an emergency yes heal them but any other reason no there is far to much cost already dealing with drunks and drug addicts that's denying sick people here.. this is just my view not being hard hearted.. jp
