Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
In addittion to the above if the US and the likes of other countries try and coerce the UK to stay in Europe, then more than likely Europe will eventually have one seat on the security council. Hands up those who want to see Germany or France speaking for you. JS
Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
Hi All.
What a bummer, Obama outmaneuvered by Putin over Syria so much so that he had a massive sulk and wouldn't touch glasses with him in a toast, unable to contain his furious expression he chose to ignore the leader of a country as big as Russia, no wonder the Yanks have never been able to conduct diplomatic foreign policy like the British. The Yanks made a grave mistake in backing, training, and arming the rebels against Assad, it came back as it has on many other occasions to bite them on the bum. Even blind Freddy can see that a combined force of Russian and Western forces would clean up Isis in a matter of weeks. That is if they aren't already all in Europe.

Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
Des watched again last night news re UN showed the pres. of the Ukraine again shouting the odds which I suppose by mosts standards he has every right. However all these arguments over Ukraine the whole initial point was when the official president who happened to be pro-Russian was turfed out by the mobs in an un- constituitional manner, they then cry shame when the russians re take the crimea which houses all their Baltic fleet plus. As have often said the people only see the side of arguments their governments want them to see, when talking about bias and misinformation the west with its so called free press takes some beating, to most of us anyone can see that the world will gain by the influx of the might of Russia and China, I hope this evenings news does a coverage of the Russian answers to some of what the problems are, as quite a few countries are going to attend, doubt the US or The biggies in Europe will however. By biggies I mean Germany France and Italy, who are out of interest the last 3 big axis powers during the last world conflict. After the war they always talked about France as a beaten country, I would like to know the numbers of Vichy french there were in actual fact. Cheers JS
Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
They problem with USA is they still think they arte the biggest and best. Russia has the means to defeat any enemy if it wishes, but that will not do for Obama and others. The cold war between USA and Russia has been continueous for generation, mainly on the part of USA. They have this concept that they are the top dos in every thing, where as countries like UK and others are willing to talk.
Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
America is the most warmongering country on the Planet. Ever since WW2 it has caused wars all over the world and Never won one of them
It failed in Korea, it failed in Viet Nam, it failed in Iraq, it failed in Afghanistan.
it cocked up Libya and it has cocked up Syria by backing the wrong side again and arming and training ISIS
America should stay in its own back yard and stop interfering in other countries.
It ponces around the world trying to change other countries governments.
It cannot understand, in a Moo, slim, country you cannot have Democracy,. Only a strong Dictator can hold the various tribes together.
Saddam held Iraq together, Gadhafi held the 15 tribes of Libya together, Assad held all the tribes and different religions together, every one is now a total disaster because they are interfering. Millions have died because of their actions and their ignorant Pres ignores a man, Putin , who is trying to stop IS.
I despair at the Ignorance of their politicians on the world stage.

Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
#75... They won in Grenada Brian, just about anyway. They invaded Cuba when I believe was it when Rooseveldt was a young man, one doesn't hear much about the results of that one, as again lost in the Bay of Pigs fiasco which they disclaimed all knowledge of. Even lost at the Alamo although Hollywood won in the film, all a matter of your viewpoint I suppose. Won in Burma athough cant recollect any US troops really being involved. The argument there are no winners in war fits their excuse to a T. Cheers JS

HUMMMMMMMM
MAYBE WE COULD FIND SOMEONE OF THIS CALIBER FOR PM
NAH, NUN HAVE THE HUEVOS, OR IS THE WORD PELOTAS
I wonder how many years (hundreds for sure) that Jewish people have lived in Quebec. I don't believe that they have ever demanded that pork be removed from the school's menu where their children attend.
Excellent reply by the Mayor of Quebec to the "demands" of the ****** population in his community.
Put some pork on your fork.
Too bad the UK doesn’t have the common sense to publish this nationwide.
Should also be posted on signs all along Its borders.
Let's hear it for a Quebec mayor.
Or as the commercial promoting pork says “put some pork on your fork”
MAYOR REFUSES TO REMOVE PORK FROM SCHOOL CANTEEN MENU.
EXPLAINS WHY
****** parents demanded the abolition of pork in all the school canteens of a Montreal suburb.
The mayor of the Montreal suburb of Dorval, has refused, and the town clerk sent a note to all parents to explain why...
“******s must understand that they have to adapt to Canada and Quebec, its customs, its traditions, its way of life, because that's where they chose to immigrate.
“They must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in Quebec.
“They must understand that it is for them to change their lifestyle, not the Canadians who so generously welcomed them.
“They must understand that Canadians are neither racist nor xenophobic, they accepted many immigrants before ******s (whereas the reverse is not true, in that ****** states do not accept non-****** immigrants).
“That no more than other nations, Canadians are not willing to give up their identity, their culture.
“And if Canada is a land of welcome, it's not the Mayor of Dorval who welcomes foreigners, but the Canadian-Quebecois people as a whole.
“Finally, they must understand that in Canada (Quebec) with its Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious festivals, religion must remain in the private domain.
The municipality of Dorval was right to refuse any concessions to ***** and Sharia.
“For ******s who disagree with secularism and do not feel comfortable in Canada, there are 57 beautiful ****** countries in the world, most of them under-populated and ready to receive them with open halal arms in accordance with Shariah.
“If you left your country for Canada, and not for other ****** countries, it is because you have considered that life is better in Canada than elsewhere.
“Ask yourself the question, just once, “Why is it better here in Canada than where you come from?” “A canteen with pork is part of the answer.”
If you feel the same forward it on, if not, hit the delete.
Re: Migrants/Asylum Seekers/Refugees. ??
Brilliant post John.
I propose that guy for the next head of the United Nations.
I have a cousin living in that part of Montreal and visited him back in 88 when the ship I was mate on was running into Montreal. Very nice area to live in then (though could not see to much as it was winter and covered in snow) but his neighbours were very nice and despite being French Canadian were very pleasant towards me, a non French speaking Brit. My cousins wife is from Czechoslovakia and has been made most welcome there.
If they have an influx of mozzies over the years I hope it has not gone downhill with their arrival.

It has certainly gone downhill here in Boltonistan,
A once good town of good hardworking friendly people, now I live in a foreign state.

I am a minority. I have no democracy, no representatives in government, Will the Americans bomb and invade us to give us democracy??
I hope so,

While the political 'gurus' of this site are busily engaged tipping the bucket on Uncle Sam, I have a question for the rest of the members. In view of this most recent display of peace-loving altruism (in Syria) by the nice Mr.Putin, do the members believe him deserving of (a)...the Nobel Peace Prize. or (b) Papal approval and subsequent beatification? Personally, I prefer option (b)...just imagine, St.Vladimir the Pacifist, so delightfully appropriate. As a matter of interest, his great aunt, Evdokia, once played second fiddle in the Halle Orchestra.:)
