they do advertise the lottery is nothing to do with the bbc they only give the numbers out? they are a law unto themselves giving millions in pay offs to bosses that don't do the job as they should?jp

We have similar here in Oz ith the ABC putting a 24/7 news station on TV. Problem here is it is at times biased towrads the Labor party and at times has been guilty of putting news that showd the country in a very poor light. But with all the news broadcasts now and the availability of the Net there is no such thing now as news, instant reporting now. But the other night I was watching the adverts on one of the commercial stations and they kept interupting it with news of the Winter Olympics.

Very true Rob, and very often there will be two or three different versions of the same story on different channels. I often thinbk it is done for nothing more than shock value in the attempt to keep the viewers looking in to that station. As the old adage tells us, 'never let the truth get in the way of a good story'.

And we have very little choice here unless you have Foxtel or similar to pick up decent programs.
