Quite agree that BBC (and others) seems to have lost its impartiality, and this is obvious to the majority, I am neither commending or condoning their news reporting, as we are all now too well aware that with modern communication methods everything is transparent and very little can be hidden, and it is up to ourselves to separate the wheat from the chafe, which we older generation can do from our own inbuilt wisdom of passing years no matter which news channel or media we use. This is something that politicians seem to forget when they are preaching from their ivory towers. Agree with John P that too much airtime is given to preachers of hate, but we are told it is in the interests of fairness and equality, unfortunately preachers of hate do not recognise equality but the liberal establishment has long been blinkered, thus it will forever remain, it makes the world go round whether we like it or not. Again my advice is when on holiday forget the news, unless it affects your flight home, and enjoy your surroundings. We in Europe live in a smouldering cauldron of discontent, but the Antipodes on the other hand although in somewhat isolation from it may have to learn Chinese as their national language in the not too distant future, as was what once called the 'paper tiger' springs forward from its lair, we'll probably read about Antipodean news then on our channel, better start reading up on those sayings of Confucious
