Richard there were many strange names .......my favourite was a percher......don't think many will know what that was......brigella mills may be rings a bell but the brain sometimes plays tricks now........the names of mills wereall like perseverance or salutation ....things like that regards cappy
CAPPY--so there you are!! First of all that was a terrible thing to happen to your ma-in-law, and I do hope she makes a quick recovery.
What are you like as a nurse? Treat her gently, she deserves the best.
regarding Brian's 'disgusting' behaviour, the mind boggles---tell all!
Happy new year to you and yours,
Colin, Pam, and family
I was led astray by Cappy.
Brian
Cappy, Percher - that ones got me. Granny said "teampt milk in't picher, lad". My father looked blank at my uncle Willie who translated "pour't milk in roody joog"'
Cheers, Richard

So sorry to hear about your mother in law and hope she makes a speedy recovery. My mother in law, another Shields lass born and bred, passed away two years ago and she was of a similar vein to yours, they certainly bred them tough in those days.
Now
In order to make up for your poor Christmas you are cordially invited to our new year bash. Small gathering only with immediate family but plenty of booze left over from Xmas as that reprobate from Bolton never discovered my secret stash.
You will easily find the house, its the one with the armed guards outside to keep away the riff-raff from the western side of the country along with any Romanians trying to sneak in.
Hopefully Capt. Kong is too tied up with packing and securing his house to attend.
