Well Lou if you get fitter than you were in the UK earlier this year the Kiwis had better enter you in the next Olympics, they could be assured of at least one medal. I have seen a lot of fat doctors telling their patients to lose weight, don't know what kind of mirror they have.Quote:

A while ago I was on a bus when an obeses Woman got on with a Child of about 8-10 years of age. He was,shall we say.quite plump. If you could have seen the junk she was allowing that child to wolf down his throat,it was unbelievable. If not Child cruelty it was at least Child abuse.
Parents of Obese kids should be charged with Child Cruelty.
The kid is going on to develop diabetes, and heart disease and a shortened life.
When I was a kid in the 30s and during the war I was built like a racing snake. No obesity then on a ration book.

My eldest has become morbidly obese , for afw years , I took this to heart and took her to her GP , who is an old fashioned No-Nonsense Scottish GP , and being polite the same side of 50 as most of this site is , he sent her , after a bollocking , to a company called Why Weigh , and for a year she has had Dietician , and Therapy as well as assessments by a physical fitness guy . She was in an abusive relationship with a total horse Hole ( sneaked that past the Censor ) and the relationship has caused her to take comfort in food . He had turned her into a low confidence , low self esteem girl and that has taken a year of therapy to turn around after twenty years of him . She was 33 stone and is after a year 28 stone . It is a long slow path , she is verging on agoraphobia , because people look and comment on her size , so I would ask when you see the Fattie along the street , think , there may be an underlying reason . and shaking your head in disgust , might not be helping . I have sweat a lot of tears to get the turn around , she ain't been to McDonalds , The Chippie , Burglar King , Wans Wok , Khans palace , or anywhere else , the Coke-Cola . and the Vodka are History . So when yopu see her along the street , spare the one thought people being judgemental , drive her to the peanut butter jar , and undo the work I have done .

I never did like " Him " and wish when younger we had jhas a chat about baseball , with me batting . I had an aversion to therapists , thought they were totally a waste of good vittles , but I have changed my mind , this one has dug some things out , that have had nme very upset , because I never knew at the time . Things said by a now long deceased aunt that were poisonous to the mind of a fifteen year old child . False memories implanted , but we have got the bloodt past sorted , I hope , Long run home though . What really hacks me off , that overweight , perfect Blood Pressure , Perfect sugar
