Just spent two days chipping and painting garden wall, so am currently resting, hate DIY now, used to love it, but age changes your perspective.

Cleaning ovens.......... half fill meat tray with boiling water put in oven on high for 15 minutes, oven and grids wipe clean, no Brillo pads needed

You can get self cleaning ovens you know, two kinds one that when set at the right temp burns it all off, the other type is the one her indoors cleans. But I get the feeling there are not many of those left.

We have similar problems here, Bunnings is the DIY specialists.

But you go in for a bag of potting mix and get talked into buying a whole bloody garden.
