I have always thought the high pay rates for working is terrible places has a risk element in it too . I have turned down a couple of jobs in the past because the risk of not ever coming home was there . If you take the high pay , I think you must also accept the high risk

As I have said several times, Cameron is Mad and should be Sectioned under the Mental Health Act of 1993., , he is imposing more and more Cuts in our Services because we are `Broke`, and now he is giving £21,000,000 of our Tax payers money to the Arabs in Jordan.
We gave £70,000,000 to the Al Qeada rebels in Syria.
We give money to North Korea, to make Nukes to aim at the USA, We give money to Iran to make Nukes to be aimed at us all. We give money to Argentina so they can buy weapons off France to attack the Falklands again. Only a Mad Man could think of that.
The Arab Countries are the Richest with all that Oil money we give them, they never give to another Arab country, let soft Johnny English do that.
Brian.

High Risks
Rob agree with what you say. However such is the case that most seafarers have always been underpaid. Through force of circumstances I worked for a number of years in the offshore industry on vessels some of which should never have been at sea in the first place. The wages were well below that of a police constable, conditions both weather wise, and accomodation and general living standards were at times notorious. There was no comparison to the rates on a near stable offshore installation. As regards deep sea, I have never really been into how many so called war zones have traded in, still of course on very normal everyday money. I agee with what you say however about these high paid jobs abroad, it is up to the individual to what danger he exposes himself in his quest for big money. However as seamen we never had this opportunity and took it as part of our job. Most seafarers go to sea because this is the only life they know and are more comfortable in that enviroment, however as we all know it is a dying industry of yesteryear.. Best Regards John Sabourn.

When the Noth Koreans fire their next Nuclear missile , along its side will be painted( Fully funded by Western Infidels)
Pakistan will do the same, so will Syria they must be splitting their sides laughing at us for supplying money to by Russian Arms, and even then they just could that is maybe sending some of it to Al Qaida in Afganistan, as well so when the Prime minister attends a Funeral of a Soldier killed in the Line of duty in Afganistan , the bullet might have been fully funded by your illustrious Prime Minister and his good friends.
Shes a rotten World all right, brace your selves for World govt once Europe goes belly up theyll come up with their next brilliant rip off idea , no worrys. Glenn on the bottom of the heap with no say at all .

Generation Gap
The generation before us and to a certain extent our generation, fought governments through unions which were illegal at one time, and general strikes which no government can afford to have. This over quite a number of years raised the living standards of most of us. It took 2 or 3 generations to get a better life in the UK. Now you have a situation where certain people in government choose to throw away the welfare of their own people for the benefit of outsiders and kudos for themselves. A recent post on the Jervis Bay which is part of our nautical history was among others well documented in my mind as was taught to us at school. It is good that through sites like this and others, that the generation that knows little or nothing about same can find out. I am sure the government the less they hear about the hardships and lives giving away to supposedly keep the uk free would like people to forget, as might upset the neighbours they are keen to not offend. The uk has always had the haves and the have nots, and is supposed to be a class free society now, this to me is a fairy tale, the old system still remains just under the surface. Japan & Muslins
I NEVER KNEW THIS ABOUT JAPAN
The Japanese are a very evolved race.
Have you ever read in the newspaper that a political leader or a prime
minister from an Islamic nation has visited Japan?
Have you ever come across news that the Ayatollah of Iran or the King ofSaudi Arabia or even a Saudi Prince has visited Japan?Japan is a country keeping ***** at bay.
Japan has put strict restrictions on ***** and ALL ******s.
The reasons are:
a) Japan is the only nation that does not give citizenship to ******s.b) In Japan permanent residency is not given to ******s.
c) There is a strong ban on the propagation of ***** in Japan.
d) In the University of Japan, Arabic or any Islamic language is not taught.
e) One cannot import a 'Koran' published in the Arabic language.f) According to data published by the Japanese government, it has giventemporary residency to only 2 lakhs, ******s, who must follow the JapaneseLaw of the Land. These ******s should speak Japanese and carry theirreligious rituals in their homes.
g) Japan is the only country in the world that has a negligible number of
embassies in Islamic countries.h) Japanese people are not attracted to ***** at all.
I) ******s residing in Japan are the employees of foreign companies.j) Even today, visas are not granted to ****** doctors, engineers or
managers sent by foreign companies.
k) In the majority of companies it is stated in their regulations that no
******s should apply for a job.
l) The Japanese government is of the opinion that ******s are fundamentalistand even in the era of globalization they are not willing to change their****** laws.
m) ******s cannot even think about renting a house in Japan.n) If anyone comes to know that his neighbor is a ****** then the whole
neighborhood stays alert.
o) No one can start an Islamic cell or Arabic 'Madrasa' in Japan
p) There is no Sharia law in Japan.
q) If a Japanese woman marries a ****** then she is considered an outcastforever.r) According to Mr. Kumiko Yagi, Professor of Arab/Islamic Studies at TokyoUniversity of Foreign Studies, "There is a mind frame in Japan that ***** is
a very narrow minded religion and one should stay away from it."
s) Freelance journalist Mohammed Juber toured many Islamic countries after9/11 including Japan. He found that the Japanese were confident thatextremists could do no harm in Japan.
My personal estimation of the Japanese has risen dramatically!

European Union
If goes on at the same pace will be no such thing as a British Army, Navy or Air Force. All National Sovereignty will be dissolved. Will be no more on Her/His Majestys service. The recent and on going argument about medals for past war members will cease to exist. The list is endless of the changes that are coming. What Hitler strove for in 1939 will come to fruition from politicians with the same end in sight, dominination of all the european countrys to start with. Run from one of the old capitals of Euriope and dominated by those who were the principal instigators in the projected plan. It will probably be against the law to call yourself English in any case. For those wannabees who want to be European why dont they just go and live in Europe, and let others live as they want to, in what was once merry old England. A lot of this mess now was started by some of our own politicians, but for those who can remember there were quite a few who were admirers of Hitler also, and this included unfortuanetly some of the Royal Family. However their minds were soon changed when they were made aware of the world destruction it caused. Why cant (repeating myself) every country just mind its own business, unless threatened. We have no right to be in other countrys assisting in their internal politics. However that earlier part of our history will disappear, as well as Nazi Germany and its many countries that were their satellites during the last so called big one.
History will be rewritten and will bear little resemblance to the truth, I have this feeling that this has already started. John Sabourn

This is a very naive question I accept, however I will pose it anyway just a pity Brian is away enjoying his Pacific cruise though but good luck to him. Why could someone tell does UK give money to Pakistan, Nth Korea, Iran et al? I would have thought that would be breaking some UN or international embargo & why not if they seek those feelingfs of well being not give food or such rather than cash? What is in it for them, the UK, business, a lovely warm feeling for doing it, what? I do know that Aus gives to some odd places like Indonesia, Philippines, doubt Nth Korea, Pakistan though. Richard
