H Ivan, i agree, would be nice to see a real Empire Ship, there were so many, or even an Fort Class, i know they were Canadian, but British by design, all in all with all the Tugs and smaller Ships built with Empire Names must be near to 1000. i have photos of more than 600 Empires.

In the Albert Dock Liverpool,we have a great Maritime Museum and sailing ships that visit the Dock at various times of the year. But for perminant historical Craft its very poor, with just the old Bar Light Vessel,Pilot Cutter and an old Steam Tug. There is plenty of Quay space that could be used as a perminant exibition Base. Liverpool with its Maritime History and Traditions is second to none in the world, yet its far behind others that have a lesser claim.

They would rather have empty spaces than allow a historic Ship a free berth, just financial greed these days, many docks are virtually deserted of Ships.

Adelaide Carrick ?
City of Adelaide / the Carrick ?
Seems a news black out ?
Anyone know more:
I visited her in Scotland a few years ago,
If she is of to OZ, she will be cared for,
Our best bet is or was Sunderland:
You can tell if you watch the video at the link below that Peter Maddison has the heart, the compassion and cares much, Sunderland is her birth place and Adelaide her maiden name, who ever wins and adopts her, may they keep her safe and in a style she was accustomed to.
Peter Maddison at the grave of William Pile. One of the Greatest shipbuilder of the 19th century. William Pile designed Revolutionary Clipper ship "The City of Adelaide" build in Sunderland in 1864.

i think HMS Plymouth is going or scrap. seems to be the general thought, the rate currant naval ships are being scrapped the RN will become as extinct as the MN has. will have to rely on the Frogs

London already has HMS Belfast on the South bank of the Thames to represent the Royal Navy, would be great to see something on the North bank to represent the Merch - any suggestions? something with lots of sticks and maybe a jumbo or two, wooden hatch boards and tarps essential
