Thankfully behind every doddery old man there are some sensible people, and maybe some senile, who will we hope adjust the speech and tactics to ensure safety, well at least for now.

I know democracy tells us governance of the people, by the people for the people, but the people at the top must be competent at the least.

Biden may want to set some challenge by being the oldest USA president, just hope those below him are young enough and strong enough to keep the rest of us safe from men like him.

Biden versus Rocket man, now there would be a challenge if ever there was one.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Or maybe Captain America himself. ? Similar will also apply to Putin , who is only one man. No leader has total control. Even Hitler himself had his local enemies . At the Nuremburg trials what people saw was only the visual heads of the Nazi Party , there were thousands of others just as ruthless and most of the population guilty by association. The world today is not too different. JS

I do not have a lot of time for Biden and his skewed policies (to a non-American) but when asked why he did not shoot down the balloon as soon as discovered, he replied 'it was over the land, we did not know what was in it, the object may have fallen into populated areas and maybe a school, that is why I waited until it was over the sea' seemed a sensible answer to me. Lets not forget in the Japanese/China war of 1933-1944 the Japanese sent balloons over China containing bacteria to kill the population, the Allies were considering the same approach with Germany in WWII, but saw sense when they realised that the wind blows in all directions

If the Chinese were to do a mass, sneak attack on Australia and successfully captured Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide Perth, Darwin and Hobart. Who would the Australians, new and old, call for help? One pick only.

Answer only by picking one: Limeys (or Poms), Frogs, Jerries (or Krauts), Yanks, Ities (or Wops), Ruskies, Nips.(Japs), Greasers (Wetbacks),Canucks.

Hope it won't' effect me, as I have three grandsons of draft age, and buggered if I want them to be killed or maimed for life and then hear down the road that we always come in at the end etc.etc.. and couda, shouda, woulda.

Same with Ukraine now Rodney, it is only the Yanks that worry him, The EU too busy with meetings to decide anything, and we are too small. The one thing that i totally agreed with Trump was the number of countries not putting in to the kitty of NATO at the agreed amount, including Germany, at least the UK was paying in the correct ammount.

No doubt the "Yanks" of course Rodney.
As here in Australia many things are going the way the Yanks do things!

Its becoming more like Texas each day! Chicago too!

Things are Bigger in Australia ! A claim they say for all things now!!
The Big Banana, The Big Pinapple, The Big Marino, The Big Prawn, The Big Potato, The Big Lobster, The Big Kaola (Giant), The Big Rocking Horse, The Big Golden Guitar, The Big Melon, The Big Boxing Crock, The Big Ram, The Big Bogan, The Big Ned Kelly, The Big Penguin. Say no more! LOL

Killings are on the Up and Up its a wonder that they dont allow Machine Guns here! Like the old Machine Gun Kelly! LOL

The US & China have just signed a deal to produce car batteries for Ford. The new deal will create 2500 new jobs in Michigan

Ford also announced 1300 job redundancies in the UK these will take place over 3 years. The new plant will open in the USA in 2026.
I wonder if the Chinese will cut prodution in the US plant after about 5 years and then just export the battery pac's direct to the States.

When the Chinese bought the defunct MG car brand name. They started to produce/assemble new MG's in the UK.

But SAIC announced last week that it has axed the Longbridge production process - which it admitted were all small additions - in favour of shipping completed cars from China, rather than complete their construction at the UK hub.

Western greed will be it's own down fall

#44 The motive and Japanese reasoning behind the attack on Pearl Harbour still stand today. Then it was the might of air power was the target for early destruction and the carriers were the prime targets . Fortuanetely they were at sea unbeknown to Japanese naval intelligence . Or there might have been another outcome. Today more powerful and destructive targets have to be sighted and destroyed first. All military persons will know this There won’t be any winners . JS....
The UFOs recently shot down are more than likely I would of thought , have North Korea as their port of Registry.

    Ivan.
If that was the case why did he shoot down the other three over land? Oh I just remembered they were over Canada, no probs.

A question for all the navigators on site. How did those balloons get into the far Northern climes from China?

Launched from ships Des ? Easy enough to fill a balloon with helium or whatever . May not even be surface vessels. JS
Remember the old barrage balloons in the convoy systems during WW11. JS
