And they tell me this is a safe Ship, would not pay you a Thousand Bucks to get on her! May be on a Calm Lake she is OK, like a huge Canoe LOL. Imagine her in the Bay of Biscay or other such Seas! The Cape Rollers would take care of her in no time at all. Rolling with not only a Top Heavy Structure, but also side Heavy by looks !! Eeeek!!! No way Hosay!!! Nice Sails at Stern to keep her going when there is no Engines! LOL Symphony of the Seas.JPG

#1 Ones first visual impression is that if a seagull settled on top of the funnel she may have negative stability. However I assume her GM is worked out by computer electronically , let’s hope she doesn’t have a power cut. Or tough luck on her chief officer who would have to ask everyone to stand still while he worked it out with paper and pencil , and asking nicely for all those passengers who were over weight to proceed to the lower decks ??? Just joking of course !!! JS

The mind boggles just at the thought of meal times on her. Definatly be a case of Darwins theory about the strongest surviving in the rush.
That's the way the mop flops. My thanks to Brian for this site.
One problem with Royal Carribean is the size of their ships now. Up to 9000 bloods on there!!!! You must be f... joking if you think I will get on one of those. But for the majority of USA persons they love them, but most of those ships stay within a certain area. Not designed for long overseas voyages, suitable for trips around the Carribean and similar.

Yes John but they have to get there from their Finnish, French and Italian builders and usually winter delivery voyages to take advantage of the market. But for me YUK! couldn't think of anything worse than sailing on that, I can even forgive Constants of Cardiff
#1 They aren’t sails Vernon they are somebody’s washing ? The whole ship is one big sail.JS…..

DOC they were never intended to sail on any seas but the seas they were designed for - would i sail on her ? yes if only to experience the sheer size of her ! the fact that more and more cruise ships are built on a similar bases attests to their popularity - bearing in mind the ship in this case is the destination unlike the glory days of past the ship was a means to get to a destination
Designed by a naval architect who thinks a righting lever is something to do with a bar stool ?.

Eh Ba Gum John lad tha's probably right, with a total complement of 9000 souls (crew and bloods) on board at an average of 80 kgs that is 720 tonnes of human flesh milling about, (that is 3 times the weight of a coaster I sailed on) mind you I think her displacement is about 270,000 tonnes. Just imagine trying to evacuate that lot in an emergency, mind you could always turn those purple water slides over the stern and that would get a few off quickly
